Not really, he's acting as a consultant. Unless he has a clause in his contract saying he's not allowed to earn money elsewhere then there's no corruption. He's advising them that 'Obviously the big money is here', but they can still buy the players in other countries. Third party ownership isn't illegal, it's not some sort of underworld trade, it's a legitimate business, that The English FA don't allow, probably for their own gain somehow. It's unprofessional of course, and embarrassing, and his critique of the FA might end up with him getting served his P45, but unless there's more to come, I don't see corruption.
My first impression is that it's much ado about nothing. He's advising on perfectly legal ways to deal with bureaucratic rules. He's accompanied by professional people. Doesn't seem much to me.
Fifa wanted to ban it, probably for their own gain again, but let's be honest, Fifa will have taken bungs to shelve that and also even if they wanted to, they'd be tied up in knots by lawyers, you can't put a sports rules down over the top of a country's policy. Just like religion can't impose laws in countries.
That's what I thought and if that's the case he's ****ed for me. You would expect that of a dodgy agent. Not the England manager.
It would appear so then, so how do you get round a sports organisation attempting to impose their rules on a player who is already owned by a 3rd party? I had no idea that this was in effect, Sam's saying it still happens in certain countries so I'd assume there's loopholes in the process. In that case, I guess he's gonna get dry bummed to death.
I think they knew when they appointed this bloke he was no Aled Jones....but to sh!t in his own nest this quick will have them thinking about his future
According to one source he's quoted as saying "I'll have to run that by the powers that be", when offered a proposition. So if he means the FA, then that could get him off the hook, if in fact he did ask them or if he pursued the deal afterwards. He'll have a good lawyer no doubt.
Sam Allardyce is a disgrace and needs to be punished, humiliated and made an example of. Therefore he should continue as England manager
Pretty much. I don't particularly like Allardyce and usually look for ways to slam him, however I'll admit he's been had if he gets the chop here.
