Not really beaten anyone of note to be honest have they ?. Fulham are having a poor season and could be relegated. Villa have had the odd good premier league victory but again struggled for consistency. Forest have been in free fall for weeks and Charlton are having a poor season also. Not that impressive if you ask me. Roll on Sunday and we will put an end the their cup exploits. UTT
I watched their game against Fulham and it was the most abject performance I've seen from any team this season.
They'll be saying the same about us, two mid-table championship teams (one of which required a replay), a league 2 side and the team bottom of the premier league.
And to be fair, we're not exactly anyone of note if they beat us either, especially as it's us minus our two main strikers. If it ends up with Wigan losing to either of us in the Final it'll be one of the easiest runs to the Cup a side has ever had.
No wonder other clubs think some of our supporters are a bunch of idiots with ideas way above their station.
You can only beat whats in front of you. It doesn't matter who it was. Both sides have done well to get here. I'm going to Wembley expecting a tough game. Sheffield are going to give everything. I only hope our players take it more seriously than some of our fans.
Who cares less what other clubs think of our supporters - I certainly dont lose any sleep over what they think. I was making a valid assumption of Sheff Utd cup exploits, simple as
It's going to be a tough game without a doubt. I'm looking forward to it (well obviously)... it could be a cracker.
remember the blades have gone from round 1 colchester ,cambridge ,villa, fulham, forest , charlton now hull , should be top notch atmosphere with nearly 34k blades loud and proud .shoreham boys we are here .(you will hear a lot of that )
The Blades deserve to be taken seriously. Unfortunately, some people connected with City think a win on Sunday is a formality. Our **** week could get even worse with a loss in the cup semi final.
Sheffield United haven't played a side below them (since the 3rd round), you haven't played one above you.
Maybe we havnt maybe we have. I don't call going to Brighton easy. I don't call going to Sunlan easy at that particular time when the new manager appeared to have got them playing well. Somebody has already stated, you can only beat what is in front of you. We have and that's why we are in a semi final. Given our cup exploits over many years, this has come out of the blue and I think most City supporters will gratefully accept it.
The replay was indeed an awful game. However, I also watched the first game which was much better - quite open and even with both sides playing some good football. Also, I watched Notts Forest completely outclass West Ham only to be comfortably beaten by Sheffield in the next round. They're clearly a better team than their league position suggests and are quite capable of pushing City very hard. However, I have been impressed by the way City have played in the cup - possible banana skins avoided with sure footed performances at 'Boro, Southend and Brighton; comfortable home wins against Brighton and Sunderland without any fuss. Steve Bruce won't let them take the Blades lightly and City should be clear favourites to make the final. Fingers crossed!
Seen as there in the the 3rd tier it is not surprising they are playing teams above them Seen as City have about 14 teams above them and a lot have been playing each other it is not surprising we havent had 1 above us. Who cares anyway. Just beat what is in front of you.
I'm sorry, but to write off two Prem teams being beaten by a League One side, no matter how poor they have been this season, is ridiculous. Sheff Utd have had a cracking run, and they deserve to be in the semi final. Our run wasn't exactly the hardest, was it?
