Watching Cramk (again). Thats one bonkers films.. Most of Tarrantino films are also bonkers.. Saw. Bonkers in a macabre way. Anymore bonkers films. The crazier the better..
It's pretty much a ten mate, it's about a journalist who goes to Vegas to cover a motorbike race and takes every drug ever created in as much quantity as the human body can take, and you see most of the film through his eyes. It has its downtime moments and it's generally funny but it's totally mad.
Fear and loathing in las vegas Eraserhead The Lobster Shaolin Soccer Shutters Island Memento Being John Malkovich Wolf of Wall Street A Clockwork Orange Evil Deads Off the top of my head. All bonkers in different ways.
Had my eye on Lobster, is it any good? Saw one called Men and Chicken which I think you'd like, pretty funny. Subtitled which I'm not a fan of but not heavy on dialogue anyway.
To add to nacho. It's based on a road trip by a real life journo/writer called Hunter S. Thompson only it's his alto ego Roal Duke(A fictitious character he invented as a version of himself in his novels and assignments)in this film. What he did is he recorded his investigations and played them back to write his assignments, this is one of those stories. It's based on a true story, but he takes that many drugs while on assignment the recordings are bent out of all recognition and what you get is the insanity you'll be watching(He called it Gonzo journalism). The book is fantastic too. Bill Murray plays Hunter S. Thompson in a biographic film called where the buffalo roam. It's not as bat **** crazy as fear and loathing but it's good to watch afterwards to see what the real man was like. He was insane btw Bill Murray is great alternative to Johnny Depp
I watched that, I thought it was ****e but it wasn't as bad as I expected. Tried watching the second one but it made the first film look like a masterpiece of cinema and couldn't be arsed with it.
Predestination. Don't look it up on Google or anything, jut watch it and see if you can guess what's going on.
Just about any B movie made in the 70's and 80's by directors who'd watched Ed Wood's "Plan 9 from Outer Space" one too many times. Or Plan 9 from Outer Space.
