Have a look at this one Kenny. On the same WBA Super Bantamweight Champion Ryan Burnett fought the legendary Nonito Donaire.
I'm really looking forward to the Usyk - Bellew fight this weekend in Manchester. The WBA, WBC, IBF & WBO Cruiserweight Champion Oleksandr Usyk is a hot favourite at 1-5 while Tony Bellew is 5-1. Next to nobody gives Bellew much of a chance, and they are probably right. Usyk should be too good for him. But if their is one thing Bellew has going for him, it's his resolve. If he loses, he'll be carried out on his shield.
It's not a surprise really as they were mates on the original Creed movie. Anyone with half a brain and Ward is one the sharpest boxing brains out there realises that Tony has next to no chance.
Bellew has no chance, one of the biggest mismatches I've seen in years (and I am including Mayweather/McGregor in that) I realise a lot of people (me included) said the same about Bellew against Haye but i don't think any of us realised just how washed up Haye was
I too see it being one sided, but Bellew has a chin, and 4 of Usyk's last 6 bouts have gone the distance. I think Bellew will make a fight of it, and might even go the distance, but should lose a heap of rounds. I've been talking myself into believing that the Bomber can at least not stink the place out, but I read yesterday that Bellew has in the past been dropped by 4 lefties. He's climbed off the canvas though and beaten them all, bar Adonis Stevenson. I think he'll show heart. At least I hope so.
The fight seems to be on Sky Sports so will view after 'Beck' on BBC Four which finishes at 22.30. I hope my body clock holds out!
Yes but he's never faced a fighter anywhere near the pedigree/Calibre of Usyk. My prediction is a violent and bloody boxing lesson, with a stoppage round about the 7th or 8th.
In my opinion Bellew can consider it a success if he even comes close to winning a single round. I think it'll be a one sided schooling given by one of the most talented boxers on the planet
Bellew should lose, it would be the upset of the year if he didn't. One thing we have to remember though, is if it goes the distance, Bellew might win rounds. As rounds are scored by more than just punches landed, Bellew, by being on the front foot, can steal rounds if he can be close in the effective punches landed. There is no way Bellew will lose 120 - 108 on the cards if it goes the distance. And Usyk is not a power puncher. In saying that, it wouldn't surprise if Usyk KOd Bellew. And it wouldn't surprise me if it went 12. Either way, Usyk is a raging hot favourite and should successfully defends those belts. I'd also be surprised if Bellew didn't have some good moments. Can't wait.
A master class from Usyk. Bellew made a fight of it for a few rounds, but in the end, just wasn't up to the job. Surprisingly, two of the judges had Bellew leading on points before the stoppage. I'm not sure which fight they were watching, maybe there was a punch up somewhere in the crowd. The sportsmanship shown by Usyk at the end was heart warming stuff. Carl Froch is a ****er.
I was watching a Canadian channel for the fight. So much better than the biased histrionics that Sky 'experts' dish up.
