Agree that there's just enough of a chance to make it interesting but I think Joshua will be quite comfortable keeping his distance and working the jab. Think if will be a relatively dull fight like his last one as I'm not sure he'll be taking many risks.
Doubt I can be arsed to spend £20 on this but I’ve not even looked at the undercard apart from Price again being paid to have his head caved in. The bloke will probably die tonight thanks to Hearn.
Could well be the case mate, but I expect AJ to wear him down. Povetkin is 39 now and past his best, so as long as AJ avoids his power early on, I can see him breaking Povetkin down and taking him out in the later rounds. He’s no mug though and has only lost once, to Klitschko on points.
The undercard is underwhelming for a Hearn event tbh. The Luke Campbell rematch should be a good fight, but that’s about it. Price makes his own decisions btw, Hearn is just giving him the platform. He should have retired years back imo, as he simply can’t take a punch, but it’s his call.
Yeah of course, but I think there’s a duty of care and a responsibility on a promoter’s part when a boxer is that stubborn/determined/just skint that he’s willing to do this again against such a dangerous puncher. Apparently he’s getting £100k so I can see the appeal.
The duty of care actually sits primarily with the licensing authority, the promoter merely puts fights on. This is Price’s last chance saloon, he’s not the first and he defo won’t be the last to want to take that chance either. Call it delusion, call it a desperation for some cash, take your pick. He might actually win lol.
Who's Price fighting? Yeah I'd expect a cagey opening with Joshua using his height advantage and not letting him get close, be interesting to see if the ref breaks them up as much as his last fight.
Pummeled Joe Joyce in the amateurs: Looks like he can throw a punch, so Price might be in trouble again.
I agree but AJ is different as he avoids most of the gobbling off. Might be different if he fights that disgusting piece of pikey filth right enough...
If he does end up fighting Fury, I’ll pay whatever it costs to be ringside for that one, as I’d love to see him level him.
I used to love watching boxing, it was a genuine event with very, very good boxers and personalities. Hagler, Duran, Kirkland Laing, Eubank and Benn etc. (loads really, almost endless list back then) Event as 'recently' as Lewis, Hamed (couldn't stand the ****) and Calzaghe caught the attention. The only boxer I'd bat an eyelid for now is Floyd Mayweather, and he's gone. I'm amazed how little I can be arsed, my interest just evaporated. Couldn't give flying **** about Joshua, not interested.
Giyasov looks like one to watch. Okolie fight should be the best fight tonight, apart from laughing at Price again. How the **** does he keep getting opportunities
Apart from Klitschko probably the best guy he has faced. Hard to judge how good Joshua really is as there isn't much for him to fight.
