Have to throw more punches if you have not got crazy power. Was not able to throw enough punches to keep the bloke off him. Great speed and skills but not the stamina. Was he trying to throw to many power punches early. Has to able to fight every minute of each round.
I think the step up was too early - not experienced to cope with that style against a well seasoned pro
Tbh I know Kelly is a local lad but every time I've seen him I've thought he's a proper bellend, even in the realms of cocky boxers. Talented no doubt but too up his own arse.
Just watched the last 2 rounds back before I go to bed. Wow. What a **** show. Pathetic footwork and no jab. He won't ever be world champion. No pop
First four rounds showed that he does have skill, he just lost all energy for whatever reason. He needs to find a way of having better stamina otherwise he won't do much on the international scene. His boxing skill was very good in the first rounds
Can tell he has the ability, but just won’t muster it on the world title scene, even in the earlier rounds you could see the lack of power
I agree with that, mate. Side steps, clipping hooks and shoulder rolls were all coming together at first and he did look very good. He needs better hand work and less concentrating on his footwork because he allowed his opponent to walk him down last night and he had no answer. He's too big for his weight category and needs to step up where the fight will be fought at a slower pace and the cut won't be so bad for him, neither. I heard he had to cut a fair bit late on and if there's any truth in that, that'll be the reason why he gassed suddenly and early, last night.
Think he had a nick on the top corner of the right eye, corner seemed to stop it at the end of the round but difficult to tell with the amount of blood flowing from the cut in his head.
What have I just seen! The Parker undercard. Some lad has literally just bottled in 15 seconds in. Just took the knee.
Has anyone watched the Tyson/Bruno documentary on Sky? I haven't but I definitely plan on watching it. Two great characters of the sport.
When they met, it seemed to me to be something that didn't need cameras there and they both seemed uncomfortable with it
