Watford Predictions League 2019/20 Just under 3 weeks left before the big kick off. Here is the chance for Superhorns to finally prove that he can predict better than Frenchie All newcomers, and waifs and strays, are cordially invited to take part. As is now the fashion Mark Lawrenson will also be there. The rules and points system are the same as last year. For any newcomers they are set out below. Basically the same as all predictions leagues ie. you tip results eg. 3-1 and you get points (or not). 10 points for remembering to tip. 3 points for each correct result (wrong scoreline) eg. 2-1 home win when the actual result is 4-0 - this applies for home wins. For correctly tipped away wins eg. 0-2 as against 1-2 you get 5 points. For correctly tipping a draw you get 4 points (eg. 1-1 against 0-0) A bonus of 5 points extra for the correct score difference (eg. 2-0 against 3-1) - this obviously applies for all draws. 25 points for a completely correct scoreline, eg. 2-1 against 2-1. 20 points bonus for a unique scoreline eg. you are the only one to predict Norwich v Man. city 4-1 and it actually comes up. All points gained on Watford matches are doubled. You have a floating joker which you can place on any other match (on a weekly basis) - any other match apart from Watford which is doubled anyway. Points gained for this would be doubled. eg. Liverpool v Man. City 3-1 (J) means I have played my joker on this match. If anyone manages to score on all 10 matches in a round (ie. all the results are correct) then there is a 50 point bonus. Tips should be made before kick off times in all cases. Copying is not allowed - ie. if all of your predictions are exactly the same as someone elses. Also not allowed is excessive repetition of the same scoreline eg. tipping more than 4 of the same scoreline in one round - tipping 5 x 1-1 draws would see the fifth one discounted. Because I do not want to include Friday night matches (or those on Monday) I am keeping it as a weekend thing, which means occasionally taking fixtures from other leagues to make up the 10. So posters should start studying the Southern League Premier, and the Taunton and district league Or the 3 Bundesliga ! Matches from our sister club Udinese will sometimes be used, but the Serie A doesn't start until 2 weeks later than ours. The first round of fixtures will appear on here - though we still have plenty of time. This is also the posting thread. There will also be a future postings thread (where it is possible to tip weeks in advance) but if you post tips on both then the tips here will have priority.
