    Brian's Predictions League 2023/24

    League Table
All change for the Horns under Cleverley and a good solid start though a scrappy game. With no less than 13 of our teams on here failing to score and three scoreless draws I thought it might be hard to pick up many points on here but it turned out differently. Solid scores by the top four means nothing changes there, and Mark has topped the 2,000 mark, though changes are still possible there. the major earthquake was Scully and Fez (with scores of 113 and 140 respectively) which takes them up into fifth and sixth. The 140 score by Fez being the highest of the day. Second highest was by theghost with 135. Chris also topped the 100 mark in a generally high scoring round. We now have a break of 2 weeks for internationals next weekend.

    Brian's Predictions League 2023/24

    League Table
A new wind of change at the Vic and a performance we can start to identify with again. No changes in the top position on here though Hackney is coming up strongly with some very consistent scoring. Highest of the day was Mustyfrog with 134 followed by Charlie with 112 and Frenchie with 105. High scores also for Yorkie and Fez. Another round coming up shortly on Monday - normally our league is decided by Easter but this time around it's all still quite close as we approach the end phase of the season.

    Brian's Predictions League 2023/24

    League Table
A major change at the top this week as Hackney takes over with the highest score of the Easter monday round with 111. A message for Mark here - I have searched everywhere for your tips for todays games but haven't found them - if you have posted them can you direct me to them ? Then I will adjust the table if necessary. Elsewhere Andy got the second highest of the day with 104 and my own score of 99 was the third highest, which I am ashamed to say was mostly a result of the late West Brom equalizer <doh> Also Matej jumped above his brother Seb.

Oh dear - think I forgot!

    Opps - my bad.

Going by my predictions elsewhere would have done rubbish anyway.

    Brian's Predictions League 2023/24

    League Table
A very low scoring round on the pitch with 9 featured teams failing to score and very low scoring on here as well. Highest scores of the day were in the 60s with Mrs Fez, Mrs Andy and theghost, but for most of us it was a round of gnashing of teeth. The horns could have been playing all night without scoring. as a result very little change in our league placings on here though Mrs Fez has moved up into second. Very much on the final straight now with 4-5 (?) rounds left (will check up on this later).

A very wide range of scoring here with some very low and also high scores. Highest of the day was by Paul with 111, followed by JT Bodbo with 105, Bodbo being the only one to tip Hull City to win 3-0. At the top end of the table Hackney still looks comfortable, with Mark moving into second just above Mrs Fez. Yorkie and myself both pressed the self destruct button allowing the gap to grow, and Scully has moved up nearly onto Yorkie's shoulders. Three rounds to go and changes are still possible.

Absolutely typical. The twitching of a corpse. At least I've got a mention - that will have to do.
I still think that all scores involving WFC where the tipster has predicted WFC not to win should be subtracted not added !
    And thanks for doing it.

    Brian's Predictions League 2023/24

    League Table
An average scoring week on here with no explosions anywhere, though things are getting tighter at the top with Hackney retaining his lead but it being cut down to 37 points with two rounds left, Mrs Fez is also still in with a shout at this late stage. Mark's score of 78 was the highest of the round with theghost also getting 73. Elsewhere the scoring was mostly on the lowish side - it all looked very different after the opening match at Leicester which a lot of us got right, but then went downhill afterwards.

    Brian's Predictions League 2023/24

    League Table
Something of a sensation building up on our league here. After all these scores building up in their thousands the gap at the top has been reduced to just the one point difference with only one round left ! This being a result of Mark picking up the second highest score of the round with 97. Mrs Fez is also just about within striking distance in third - all in all the closest we have seen the predictions league at this late stage. Highest score of the day was by Matej with 102, meaning he now leads the family table. Just one round left - always a difficult round to predict with some teams already mentally on their summer holidays and other still with something to play for.

    Brian's Predictions League 2023/24

    Final League Table
Well our marathon comes to an end in dramatic fashion. Talking points of the day, apart from the Horns losing were Plymouth and Sheff Wed escaping the drop, and condolences for Birmingham City. Congratulations to Ipswich Town, and also West Brom securing a play off place. On here Yorkie did, in fact, forget to tip but Scully wasn't able to take advantage. The lead changed hands right at the last minute - as shown below in the league table. Highest scores of the final round were by Paul and by Chris - topping the hundred mark on the last set of fixtures is far from easy. Many thanks to all for taking part. For next seasons league we can welcome Portsmouth and Derby, and also Sheff Utd in the other direction. Lots of potential derbies lining themselves up eg. the steel city derby, Pompey v Southampton ?, Burnley/Blackburn and us against Lootown.

    Our winner for 2023/24 is
    Markthehorn
    :emoticon-0165-muscl<bubbly><cheers>:emoticon-0167-beer:<party>

    In Second Place was
    Hackneyhornet
    <applause> <badger><ale>
    And in third place was
    Mrs Fez
    <gift><bubbly>
In the didn't quite make it class were myself, Yorkie and Scully

The real winners, as always, were everyone who took part - thanks again.
