KING training was not the other! It was Baker...… news is rather guarded at the moment …. "lots of rumours abound" but regarded as good camouflage … for the big surprise!
I like Baker especially alongside Kalas. However Baker's another like the Leicester inputs - Simpson, James, King and add DaSilva who, I think, all seem to have a history of injury problems. Fingers crossed boys.
Part of the problem with players like Baker and Kalas is that they almost certainly play when they shouldn't, as in when injuries have not fully healed and given their all action and lack of fear for personal safety type game it's a formula that doesn't mix well. Simpson is here ultimately as a prospective coach, James seems to have proved his fitness over the past 2 seasons, King is more of an unknown injury wise and DaSilva is probably a victim of poor treatment ala Williams. I suppose the crux is we know that at times maybe one or more of the above mentioned might need to be injured and that gives the talented youngsters we saw towards the end of the season their chance to slot in.
This guy ( Dave Rennie) looks and sounds impressive, have a listen to his TV interview he come across very well IMO, I believe we are in good capable hands. ‘We’re in good shape’ – Rennie reflects on day one https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/we-re-in-good-shape-rennie-reflects-on-day-one/
Cheers Wiz, an interesting watch. Of all the players I'd like Rennie to look at would be Massengo. To stop the kid falling over, rarely seen a player so featherweight/unbalanced in a tackle. TBF it might be more a technique thing.

Bristol City's statement in full: Paul Simpson is taking time out from his coaching role to have treatment for renal cellcarcinoma. The Robins’ assistant coach will finish his duties temporarily at the end of this week. Everyone at City wishes Paul all the best for his treatment and recovery and looks forward towelcoming him back. Academy coaching staff will support the first team during Paul’s absence.
Perhaps he is the next Jamie Vardy in another form. Welcome aboard Rob and good luck with the next step forward in your career.

I see the No 7 shirt has not been allocated to anyone yet... I wonder if a potential new incumbent has asked for that to be kept for them?
Hope it’s Morgan Rogers an 18 year old forward/winger from Man City who was on loan at Lincoln last season
Personally would prefer a new permanent recruit, even as good as some loans can be I’d rather not improve other teams players.
