Just checked out the prices as I didn’t renew SC due to COVID concerns. Non members prices for Lansdown is £43, Dolman centre (where I had my SC) £40, has to be side view for me. Those prices don’t encourage casual fans do they. I wouldn’t go yet anyway but that’s expensive in my view. I know it’s a premium game but still expensive.
Interested to know which of us good Not606’s are going to games at BS3, and which, like me, are still keeping away due to COVID concerns?
No excuses from me, I pick and choose for pure convenience, the Cornish site where my static is now opens 12 months continuous and it's great to be there when the holiday season is over, gets a bit cold but you can always wrap up.
THAT IS EXPENSIVE.... how much is a season ticket nowadays .. not been due to covid etc for "past 2 seasons" not had a season ticket for ..well since pre 2000 I am still avoiding crowds only meet up with around 5 -6 friends at a time and mostly outdoors .. in pubs [ 2 usually ] seating is about 2m from other tables ..
thermal long johns or tights then a thermal sweat shirt [ tog 2 - 3 ] and can go on a walk 5- 8km in about Oc+ temp.. at -Oc wear a coat ….
Dolman centre 20/21 £529, worked out £23 per game, that’s acceptable, £40 for today is not. If they want to attract casual supporters they have to make POTD prices much more reasonable.
Been to 1, against Preston, enjoyed it, first time I have seen Massengo in the flesh, hell of a shot on him, fair game, Atkinson played well I thought,Preston played well enough but they always did against us, I think we had the edge but ended 0-0.
seem to recollect my last season ticket was under £250 [ work ] didn't get to go much so didn't bother after
I’ve not been so far this season and I’m off to Gib again on Tuesday so it’ll be mid-November at the earliest before I can think of a trip to the Gate. Might sign up for the Player when in Gib though…….
Honestly nothing has changed, it’s same as usual in regards to the match day experience etc, it’s recommended you wear a face mask in the concourse but nobody ever does ( not seen anyone using one ever) I use to catch AG1 but I just get the portway P&R from Riverleaze as it’s always empty and AG1 is always busy, again some people wear a mask on the bus and others don’t. I’m going to West Brom next week on the City coaches so I’m guessing it’ll just be same as usual.
That nothing has changed & no one wears a mask etc is what bothers me Tom, I’ll continue to watch midweek games on Robins Tv and listen to Saturdays on the radio.
