We are now Tier 4 dev ! Things have got a lot worse over here since Christmas. Due to lockdown, we only go out if visit to pharmacy or doctors. I have an ongoing problem with hypertension at the moment so am making regular visits to GP surgery for tests.

It's good to be back. What happened to the original Pompey forum?

Not quite like the old BBC606 days ! We have a small hardcore of fans on here, and it's nice and friendly.

Would be nice to see you back on here again :emoticon-0148-yes:

Hi guys - Careful! We are a VERY strange side at the moment - and not one to use as your benchmark!
Our league POSITION is relatively healthy (10th and 4 points from the top 6), but that is mainly due to us having a really good start to the season whilst the other clubs were still finding their feet. They've all found their feet now and are picking up points, whereas we have started to drop them.
When we HAVE picked up points recently, it's been against struggling sides, in games not too dissimilar to our game vs yourselves yesterday; outplayed for much of the game but manage to score against the run of play.
There's an old saying 'the league table doesn't lie' - which is true, but it doesn't show performances or trends - for us both are pointing DOWN.
Some say that its a sign of a good team to win when not playing well - but as a fan it doesn't feel like it !!!
One of the reasons we won yesterday was Dan Bentley - he is probably the best goalkeeper in the Championship at the moment and he has kept the score down time after time, but we can't keep going through the season with a brilliant keeper and rely on wonder-strikes, with the rest of the team being 'meh'.
Good luck for the rest of the season though - if you play like you did yesterday then there is no reason why you shouldn't make it to the Championship, but I guess what I'm saying is don't look at us as a typical Championship side, because we're all over the place and VERY difficult to predict!!!!

Thank you for the feedback. Good luck un the Cup and the League and making the play-offs. As for Pompey we are beginning to be specialists in making the play-offs. I feel we will be involved again.

Having never won a playoff match I take the word 'specialists' in a rather candid manner :emoticon-0112-wonde
