Appreciate that, still not sure though , I’m also not convinced we need him now as we are not going anywhere. I do trust NP though so will trust his judgement, I’m just interested to hear others views.

As I said I suspect that Hunt is out of contract and can be a liability defensively IMHO. Pearson almost certainly recognises that and also recognises, that we might not be going anywhere this season, but there is a need for momentum and belief going into next season, especially if stadiums are going to reopen then season ticket sales will need to remain at the level of pre covid or even increase with the renewed optimism and all monies into the coffers will increase his spending power.

That's the way I see it, he wouldn't have been my first choice but neither were Brunt, Mariappa or Lansbury (but Pearson didn't sign any of those) I can't see we have anything to lose.

I would add the caveat that Mariappa has certainly improved since moving back to his normal position and it wasn't his fault the club were incapable of finding a replacement left back.

I get that hunt is out of contract and assume won’t be resigned, but at 34, this can’t be seen as a long term solution, it does give options for injuries this season that’s the only reason I can see and probably won’t cost too much. There is likely to be a lot of comings and going’s soon at which point the thinking behind this will likely be apparent

Has Pearson already made his mind up about Taylor Moore ?

    Even I think it's a bit unfair.

Seems like it doesn’t it?, I must admit I expected him to push on this season, but he hasn’t , Vyner has done what I expected TM to, I tend to agree with NP, time to move him on unfortunately.

Never rated Taylor Moore but I would have liked to see Pearson's influence.
He's certainly helped the likes of Palmer and Massengo whether it be individually or in a better team structure.
Will be an interesting team selection this pm.

Interesting selection all round today, wouldn’t be surprised if either Walsh, odowda, or both starts too

    What gives you that impression?

I would say that if anything, he probably believes Moore needs some better coaching and I don't think anybody could argue with that.

I have that impression as he hasn't picked Taylor Moore as yet and, unless he's ill, Taylor Moore hasn't even made the bench today.

Moore is a way down the pecking order at present, who knows?, he still under contract, I read somewhere Cundy now at Gillingham is getting rave reviews.

Funniest bit is he complained about the press intrusion when doing community service so they changed it to a curfew.

Looking good so far. Was hoping to see him and Williams together this season.

WTF was Bentley doing FFS? shocking decision to come for it.

Walsh looks terrific, Massengo looking good, Wells has been putting in a great deal of effort in playing in a role that he is not used to.

Palmer is struggling, they seem to have targeted him with 2 players marking him both times.

The biggest problem is we cannot match them by playing a long game because Diedhiou cannot hold the ball up and he is so lazy in and around the box and our free kicks are shocking.

The referee has been weak and to be fair has given no protection to Diedhiou and he is getting lairey.

They are a horrible team, I would be amazed if we get anything out of this game now, they will using the dark arts and this referee will enable that.

I still don't get why Deano and now NP are intent on starting Fammy, even though his input is dire...Am I missing something??
All the ball, no shots on target,,,
