My earlier comment about Bristol steam was a joke based on his obvious bias. The fact Bristol could get promoted makes Huddersfield look like PSG. Show how massive the gulf is to the Prem. They would do well to get double figures pointswise. As someone said earlier...quality of league....quality of ref!!
They're clearly a good side but I thought we defended well, their first goal was just a good individual goal and their second looked a soft pen...the ref gave it away when he took 5 mins to give it...if we start losing to teams below us I'll start worrying more
Must admit I find our tactic of time wasting right from the first whistle infuriating. We give teams far, far too much respect. Despite that the fact we created better chances I'd have said we deserved a draw. Boy we could do with a win though.
Itching to see it again. On first view it looked a ludicrous award. Mind you I just caught the last few mins of WBA Forest game and there was two ****e pen decisions there as well, one given for a massive Dwight Gale dive and one not given despite the guy nearly having his shirt ripped off. Bloody refs.
It looked like he was weighing up how much **** was coming his way if he didn't give it and thought '**** it, pen'.
Gutted about tonight's result, looks like we should have come away with a point. Looking forward to Friday night......come on URRRR's
Never a pen but as soon as we came out for the second half it looked like the plan was to just defend all half.. Imo we played them on their recent form and not the game tonight and gave them too much respect.....they are no better than us and when we are on form we play better football. I don't normally say this (and its cruel and ruined my night) but we got what we deserved from the 2nd half.
This is what I can't understand with Stcheev. We can go on an unbeaten run of 5 games then go on a losing run of 5 games. There is no consistency. players do the same. But for me the biggest sin tonight was kicking it aimlessly out going straight back to them. Even the balls back to the keeper were kicked straight back to them.
We were well worth a point this evening as in a very different way we were Saturday. Keep playing like tonight and 2nd half Saturday, and we'll be heading in the right direction.
I'd forgotten how it feels. Was trying to work out when I last went to a game and I'm ashamed to say I think it was away at villa when we drew 3-3, about 47 years ago. I'd forgotten how it feels to be winning away, then sitting back and facing an onslaught. I'd forgotten how it feels when the equaliser eventually goes in and the place erupts. I don't think I've ever experienced, as a qpr fan, being in that position, but still fancying our chances, but I did tonight. They weren't all that, and we do have something about us. Then the penalty. It was at the far end, but was absolutely clear to all of us that it was a shocking decision. We were cheated out of a deserved point and possibly more as a better shout for a pen on Eze was ignored. 2-1 to the referee. Great support from our lot, not a peep from the other 3 sides until a way into the 2nd half. I'd forgotten how it feels to leave feeling dejected and, tonight, cheated, but I loved it all the same.
