To be fair, many of the actual scientists involve cringe at some of the stuff that is presented. The IPPC reports don't always represent the conclusions the scientists drew, then the media and politicians add their spin, and that's what people see, and think is 'science'.

The research money is a big part of it, but it'd be career suicide for any of them to shout out while they were still trying to earn a living.

A lot of the people tasked with implementing the green deal, have no real qualifications in atmospheric science related topics. They simply follow the fashion.

I wouldn't say they know one way or another, and I also wouldn't say 'it' is not real. The climate is definitely changing. Many years ago,they had camels in North America in places that are now covered in ice. The North Sea used to be a river that was a tributary of the Rhine, linked to the Thames, before that it was land and ice.

We just seem to have become fixated on things staying as they are today, which is irrational.

I'm all in favour of protecting the environment and sustainable living, but many of the measures they are proposing are quite liable to simply swap one problem for another.

The slavery and damage associated with mining the raw materials for 'green' electricity being just one example.

The Earth's climate has always been cyclical.

 

China will try to make the climate worse as much as they can while the West spends a fortune on countering their measures
People have to wake up to the fact that China is trying to destroy the West

 

I know what you're saying, but I wouldn't even describe it as a hoax at a fundamental level.

There are things that need doing as a priority to protect resources for future generations. My issue is that it has been hijacked by people for politically ideological reasons, rather than scientifically based ones.

 

That's how you know it's a scam, China produces more greenhouse gasses than the rest of the developed world combined and John Kerry and the doom Goblin don't even mention it .
