Morning all. Mathmatically top 6 is still doable. But I don't think I'll be putting my wages on it occurring. Now it's all down to who we can keep & who we can bring in. I really hope Monk Jansson & Wood all stay so that we can make a genuine push for autos next season
You are up against it, but not dead yet, regain the Leeds fighting spirit win last 2 and maybe just maybe, you will be there, this is not over, Ffc will draw the last 2 games 2-2 with brentford and 1-1 with Sw fc, providing Leeds win last 2. I said when Leeds scored that goal at Newcastle, this will be massive come end of season,it may will still be the case
You want a fiver on each of those still been here. You can add Bartley,Hernandez and Bridcut to the list. And i would then bet you that cellino is still here at christmas.
Our defence, Wood up front, the two young lads Vieira and Phillips, those aside the rest I wouldn't care who we chop and change. Obviously we don't want to restructure the entire squad but if we replace 2-3 players in the second half of the field it would be good business. Pedrazza, Bridcutt, O'Kane, Roofe, Doukara, Dallas, Grimes, Barrow, Antonsson far too many passengers for too much of the season. Early on we had balance, not the best players but they complimented each other. The last few games have been similar to the form we started the season with. Truth is we are a top 10 side but top 6 we didn't have the quality to sustain it. Closer than we have been for a long time. Will be interesting to see who signs, who stays and who goes.
Potentially in the Championship next year :- Leeds Hudds Sheff W Sheff U Hull Sunderland Boro Millwall (long shot)
The Brighton board day after they'd lost playoffs last year. Our lot need to start planning for next season from tomorrow
Rumours are we are after Marley Watkins from Barnsley and Ryan Kent from Liverpool, two wide attacking players. I hope these are the type of players we are really looking at, hopefully lessons learned from this season and hit the ground running next. Guess first step is get the coach/manager situation sorted.
It has remained in the back of my mind. Prutton on Sky mentioned the other week in a sentence praising Pontus "after the dressing room bust up he is back to his best"... Then there was O'Kane who was mysteriously dropped and didn't even make the bench at one stage... http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2017/04/2...act-to-kalvin-phillips-is-picked-ahead-of-eu/ Interesting tweets from fans in regards to Philips and O'Kane Then there is Hernandez, poor week after week and still gets picked yet some players have one off day and they never feature again and to be honest, was O'Kane stand out bad when he had his off day?
You're a point ahead, objectively you have more chance than us (mind you could be written as 'more chance than f all')
It might be my befuddled old brain playing tricks on me but didn't some of our best string of results come with O'Kane playing?
