Burnley's final five matches away in the league are against Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Everton, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth. Problem is they only have two points away all season.
mind you having said that, weve only won once away this season, and that was back in August, against Swansea under Mr Phelan.
I'm hoping we don't have to rely on anyone & do it ourselves. I'm sick of hoping other teams do us a favour.
It is not a case of relying, but reducing the target we need to make it easier, of course if we win all ten remaining games it won't matter!
It doesn't matter whether you see it as reducing to make it easier or not, ultimately it's relying on another team to do us a favour!
Their away form has improved, and they were unlucky to lose 2-1 against Liverpool yesterday, they could have some positive affect. There again if they lose those games, they could be drawn into the relegation fight themselves.
Hardly a surprise. We have fans who think you can have points deducted because of what happens at a Cup game. And owners who don't understand how a football club works.
Other teams result will have a bearing on where we finish, you only have to go back to Lesta's late run 2 years ago to see that.
Since when have Burnley done us any favours, as has been mentioned the only way for us to get out of the position were in, is to do it ourselves and not to rely on others.
Is replying to your own post a sign of madness ? To put that into context, we won 3 in the first 20 games under Phelan We've won 3 in 8 under Silva in a difficult run of fixtures 10 games to go....
Spot on. Based on the last ten years, teams with eleven wins in a PL season have a 100% chance of relegation survival. With ten wins (i.e. four more wins for City) they have a 80% chance of survival.
Was just making the point that as we are currently in the bottom 3 we do at some point need to rely on someone above us slipping up. It's the nature of the beast.
