Really struggled with the midfield selections, but Barkley, Drinkwater and Bakayoko have all been pathetic, so I ruled them all out. Can Palmieri play as a proper left back in a back 3?
Unimpressed by Courtois last outing , and Willy has been better.
Morata gets a run until Giroud has some game time with his new team, but not starting for me.

Would keep Courtois as Watford play a lot of crosses and willy is so erratic at coming for them else i do like the willy pick recently

Think alonso needs a rest and can see delofeu having him on toast

Willian in the middle is a pipe dream so more than happy with fuzzy in there.

 

Desperately need to bounce back and gain a smidgen of self-respect after the lame showing on Wednesday; hopefully Pensioner is right and Conte can focus to rise above the politics otherwise I fear the revolving door will soon be back in business.

 

I think Conte is gone this summer regardless.
All a few bad results would do is give him a slightly earlier bath.
But either way, whether we win the CL, FA Cup, get top 4, whatever, I think Conte is gone in the summer.

 

Can we bring back JT,Lamps and Drogba?

I'd settle for any one of them at their peak. We were spoiled with them in the team.

 

The real annoying bit is our players knew Spurs had a decent chance to beat united and hence knew they were
playing for second place possibly.....Being second would of boosted morale and improved mood/confidence which
would of been good given our near fixture list.

 

No I thought Judas would rob Spuds again with another 0-1 was pleasantly surprised. Spuds were perfect.

But right now, based on what our current squad needs, it would be Lamps for me.
That midfield role next to Kante has yet to be adequately filled since Lamps left to be honest.

Is Luiz injured?

I know you never liked Bats but he scored three, one disallowed and one assist last night

However Giroud should be a shrewd move

I think Luiz is OK but not certain. The idea of Cahill playing again gives me the heebeegeebees.
I always thought Bats was no good, but was definately warming to him. I now think he was trying to play to Contes' vision of a "target man" and so never allowed to play his natural game. Same goes for Morata, both can score if they are allowed off Contes' rigid leash, but neither are "target men". Another example of Conte not using the available talent properly. Wish he was more adaptable.
