he's played a lot of football this season, (almost every minute of every game) but he's very important for us, plus i think he's allowed 1 bad game....
I think we will see a full team for this one and I think stoke have been looking at this game not league too. Be interesting to see if stoke can get away form solved cos they aint the best on the road Pity we are **** at home.
I got demoted off match day thread duties even though mine was linked to our most exciting game of the season Poor showing
This will be a tough game, could go either way. If we blitz them early on we stand a good chance of an outright win on the night. If they survive the first 20 minutes without conceding then I suspect it will go to penalties. Then it's anyone's game.
Should we play Flanno at the back with Moreno in front of him to try and beef up the defence on the left side. Clyne seems to be able to get forward and still get back into position, whereas Moreno goes forward then ends up with the two centre backs in the middle or lags so far behind play he never makes it back before the cross comes into our area. Don't know if Lovren/Skerts are fit for this one. I know Toure is a good organiser but he is very slow
If Moreno is getting forward too much shouldn't either Klopp tell him to be more selective or one of the midfielders cover him?
We certainly have to improve from the weekend, thats for sure. I imagine we will keep a strong team, can't risk it with the chance of getting to the final
In an ideal world yes. And partly that's what a Good DM does. When we had Mascherano he had the pace and acceleration to get across and cover the space when the FB was caught out. Now ow I love Lucas, but he isn't the same kind of DM. He's not as quick or mobile and when he goes out wide he isn't comfortable so avoids it. If we had someone that could move across and cover wouldn't be as much of an issue.
