Couldn't make it today for various reasons. Soccer Saturday in my y fronts. Charlton 1 up. Sunderland 4 up against palace . Life is good.
Delighted to see Caskey make such an impact straight away. I was very underwhelmed with his signature, but I can't complain with 3 assists in a game and a half.
We look a bit small. Set pieces could be a problem. Good bit of skill for the goal by Jfc. The place is empty.
Forster - Caskey looks a decent player, I will give Robinson that one. Byrne not so good so far today
Put 50 quid on us, Barcelona, Atletico and Bayern. Of course Bayern have just drawn at home to Schalke. Useless kraut ****s.
i thought we were crap today. lots of possession in the first half, but it was sideways and backwards passing. zero threat. second half we just sat back and defended. watt and jacko on the left meant we had the slowest left side ever fielded in football. we were lucky to draw in the end. that's our season done with. at full time i felt that a loss would be a better result as at least it would confirm our real intentions for the season - mid table player farm. if we had any goals of making the playoffs we needed to be beating teams above us at home.
Page is suspended for the next game so Solly LB and Konsa RB. Tex will slot back in with Bauer. That back four does not fill me with confidence. Tex and Bauer have looked poor together and Konsa isn't a RB nor Solly a LB. I'm assuming Chicksen will be injured for the next game. How bad did it look?
Followed this one sporadically. I'm in Andorra, and after five minutes of following the updates, I got a message from Andorra telecom telling me I had spent 50 euros on data and would neef to authorise a paymemt for more.z I think today was a possible balance for last week. We ended up defending deep, were hit by one goal and nearly a second. By all accounts Fleetwood were well organised. They sounded happy to defend the draw, so having got the lead, it's frustrating not to hold on. Sadly, that's football, and we need to dust ourselves down for the next one. Rumours are that Magennis may reappear for the Wombles match.a
Fleetwood deserved the draw. The first half there was not much in it, but one nice piece of skill from Foster- Caskey gave us the lead. The second half I am afraid to say we visibly wilted. Watt needs to lay off the fags- he is simply hopeless in this formation. Byrne was poor before he was deservedly red carded for a Cantona- style kung fu kick. Crofts was appalling today, did nothing and was totally overrun in the middle. Fleetwood are a big physical side not unlike Dave Bassett's Wimbledon. One of their Centre halves must be 6'8, and they turned the screw and started to batter us. They also hit the bar after they equalised, so a point was a bonus. We won't make the play offs this season for too many reasons to mention here. Robinson needs to spend less time blowing smoke up the Presidents arse, and more time with the players getting them fit, because we were overrun and outmuscled today. Not good enough.
It looks like Magennis will be back for AFC Wimbledon. We need him for his physicality. A very small Charlton side were bullied by Fleetwood. Byrne deserved to be sent off for a reckless tackle. There really is no excuse for Watt to be unfit. He can't play up top by himself. He can't head the ball. He is better coming off the bench. I would drop Watt put in Magennis and play the Arsenal kid instead of Byrne.
