Vetch - perhaps Dai has a split personality, and you have Marmite in common with his good side.... There again....... Hope it helps
Smother a tinned haggis in marmite then sit on a bed of tripe and stick that in your toastie maker dai ! I bet you'll love it let me know but id still leave the marmite off it
So we've moved onto lava bread, I do so love getting it in when we have our friends from outside of Wales over. They just look at me like I'm wrong.
Lava breads good for you full of vitamins n iron, just gotta hold my nose when i eat it n wash down quick with water to kill the taste.
As for tripe slowly cooked in milk on my rayburn is wonderful. Rabbit stew is another favorite of my generation.....You cant beat proper home made food and not this process rubbish that is full of water and preservatives. My dad would come home with Half a pig or lamb or cow and we would salt it and hang them in the pantry. It would last for weeks.....My Mother would make her own Ginger Beer where often they would explode fermenting in the pantry.....I loved that era when you had proper wholesome grub .....
Lavabread - yummy especially as below Cockles yes but not fried Marmite - over my dead body - one of the things the wife and I fall out over
