Was the League Cup Final a two legged affair in 2017 instead of being at Wembley like in other seasons?
I was surprised that two supposed big clubs didn't charter planes to take up their full ticket allocation. Better for the planet that they didn't tbh, but again this just explains why choosing Baku wasn't ideal. My in-laws spent years in Baku, and it's a city I'd like to visit one day, so nothing against the place, but it makes me wonder who got the reward for making the decision to host it there. If it were just semi dictatorial hard line regimes they were looking for then Minsk would have been closer.
The fact that Baku is a major oil centre and loads of money is floating about might have played a part.
Because it would give your post meaning and solidity, instead of it just sounding like a generic 'grass is always greener' type post. A secret friend.
Fancy you seeming to have forgotten that. “I went to the League Cup Final 1st leg at Old Trafford along with about 1,000 others in Jan 2017”
The historical kits quotes you regarding which kit City first played in. It also says “According to a clipping from the Derby Daily Telegraph, Hull were granted permission to wear "black and white" in 1921-22.)”. Is that where the historical kits site showing us in white and black come from? Did they use them? If not why hasn't It being amended? They took notice of you once, why not put them right again ?
I have never contacted them. The Derby Telegraph can say what it wants; why would anyone think that the Derby Telegraph is a good source of info on what we wore? Why not go on the photos of that season? Is that not more reliable evidence? (And why would we change the strip? For what reason?)
Can you two take this bollocks remake of Groundhog Day to personal messages please? You are swamping far too many decent threads with this donkeyshit. It is killing the board.
Don’t know why they would have changed it? Why did they change it in 1935? Liked that one, BTW, it would make a good away strip..
I think you are being unduly harsh on Barch. He often gets things wrong and usually can see he has when it's pointed out to him. I speak for many when I say I enjoy his Continental licensing hours posts.
It was felt it might bring a change of luck after we had just been promoted back to Division 2. But of course, the opposite happened and we got relegated back to Div3 N . There was no appetite for it - and I've no idea what our new nickname might have been (the Blues?) By strange coincidence, no official team pic exists from that season either.
