I always read these threads with interest as I have the opposite problem - I can't keep weight on. 5'11 and currently 9st6. You lot may think that's great but I can tell you nobody wants to shag a stick insect . Did a 10 mile walk this morning and already wondering how I am going to manage my training for a 100km in May without winning the Lena Zavaroni look alike award. Tips from the experts on here would be welcome!
****ing hell Dan, I'm same height. Six stone heavier! Lot of sport and training over a load of years under the belt in that mind. My legs and arse weigh more than you!
Exactly it genuinely brings more cons than pros. You know the lanky, skinny, and speccy bloke that every pissed up arsehole wants a fight with to "prove" themselves? Yep - I know him incredibly well!
I don’t know your age or your diet, Dan. But to put on weight will take some effort in the weight training and eating depts. Muscle is heavier than fat - and far more attractive too! So, if you have the time ( or try to make the time) hit the gym and speak to a qualified trainer. Tell him what your aims are and they should be able to design a programme to help you bulk up.
Write down on here what you eat over the next three days and my guess is that you're getting nowhere near enough calorie surplus to gain consistently. If you do a lot of endurance runs, bear in mind that your body starts eating fat stores around 15 mins after your exercise begins, this is why marathon runners are stick thin. You might want to adjust how you train if you want to change how you look aesthetically.
Eh? The only time I wear a cap is playing golf if it's sunny. I've got all my hair and none of it is ginger. Some, however, is now grey.
Started off the day with 4 sausages, beans and a cappuccino. Might walk down the stairs at lunch time.
Take it easy luv. No need to rush things. Just do the landing to start with. Aim to do the stairs tomorrow.
