Just finished work on a nightmare of a Monday ,read this and it puts things back into perspective. To blokes of my age Late fifties he was a true hero ,my donation has been chipped in
As his son is looking at selling his own house to fund his Dad's care, I wouldn't have thought so, but there'll be a lot more to this than we know.
Donated. It’s now nearly 13k I kinda agree with chazz..... unless we can raise 500k+, we are pissing in the wind. Sadly it’s a futile gesture that won’t fix his medium term problems....
I cant find the quote now but, although they seemed to say about selling his house, reading it again I was unsure. If his family were selling a house and he didnt have a house then where would he live if he didnt go to a care home full time? Maybe they meant to say they were selling Chris's house. I would have thought his would have been sold years ago and he would have moved in with family if he was ill.
And if that’s the case then they will want that money You can’t get out of paying for your care unless he moved in with family years and years ago
So maybe they are going to keep the money from the sale to pay for the care home part time and the money is for the family to get away for a rest some time. I'm sure all the family deserve some help.
