http://www.hullcityindependent.net/?page=news&news_id=803 According to City Independent it could be 'on' after all! Fingers crossed on that one.
The lad scores goals, it's what he does. If he can get 9 goals this season already with a midfield like that behind him, imagine how many he could score with Stewart, Brady, Koren and Evans all behind him. If he can score us the goals to take us up, then I think £3m odd is a fair price (if we do it in clauses we might get only pay less up front). If he signs, he will pay for himself over and over. But just to play devil's advocate, I do wonder if he can do it in the PL...
I can not see us coughing up £3 million on one player. I would say that will be NB total transfer purse for January
I think if we go into the window 3rd/4th in the league and can continue that form for the first couple of weeks in Jan, the Allams could be persuaded to add a little extra funding to make that final push and try cement promotion.
I just cannot see that Mackay would let him come here. Nor can I for one moment imagine Assam Allan paying any money with him involved. Bringing in a player with just 9 against Fryatts 8 does not add up unless Fryatt leaves. Looking around, it is hard to see a championship player who could fit in. Thankfully I don't have to make the choice. OLM would slate me, I'd have Bradley My dads a right prick here in a flash..
I think theres alot of truth in theses rumours, though i imagine it'll be a one off offer then we quickly move on if its a no.We could do that with Messi too and can only guess were slighty more likely to get a yes with Sharpe.
on the face of it maybe But when you consider the rewards possible then its Peanuts. Not long to wait now to find out.
In all seriousness, we shall soon find out the exact ambitions that the Allams have for Hull City AFC. But from whats known so far and the official soundbites from the Allams - Adam P. and Nicky Barmby they are going to give it there best shot. Citiy's squad and the club has never been stronger or in such a great place both on and off the pitch. Everything is in place now for that final Push. One big signing and maybe 2 loans on top of what City have now and it should be job done. Watching the Pompey and Saints game yesterday, Saints are falling away. Pompey were average at best and Saints did not finish them off when 1-0 up. Sorry Mr Positive but its the play-offs for your team now. imo.
correct me if i am wrong here - but Adam Pearsona and John Ryan are good friends away from football. ? if there is a good willingness to do a deal then it will hapen, plus Sharp would have better players around him which always makes the job easier. i also think the big factor now is having Barmby as C/Manager.
