So one of the players we had a bid accepted for and who we talked with has turned us down and is going elsewhere. Possibly the striker Mbaye Diagne? Adkins also mentioned we still have bids on the table for players and that we'll continue to try and do business with loans up until the loan window shuts.
Thursday will be a busy day for Ehab waiting for the bank transfers of the Bowen transfer and Maguire's sell on clause money clearing after midnight.
What Ehab doesn't seem to be bothered is we need a reason for a decent player to sign for us, ie wages or a plan. I would love to know how many players we have lost out in the last 3 years through transfer fees or wages.
Let's be honest At the moment We are competing finance wise against the likes of millwall Bolton Rotherham Birmingham Actually competing against them in the league too When a team like leeds can spend over £10m on one player What's out net spend so far? 1.5m? We are a lower championship team in budget and squad
I dont see how it can be Norwood. Last week Adkins said he's going to speak with a player... How can he speak with Norwood when we had our 2nd bid rejected? So far no bid has been accepted for that player.
Trying to stay positive here... If its true what Adkins says and we do have bids on the table for players... those might come to fruition in the next few days. Once the window shuts we'll almost certainly use the loan window to bring a couple more in. We will get business done it'll just be slow and uninspiring as always. Looking at the game last night, Norwood should be 1st priority and then a striker.
I would of thought the sell on is on any future transfer, not just if they make a profit. Although I am not sure of the terms.
Well, how many times do manager say they speak to players and they want to join, but couldn't get a deal done with the club.
Suppose what we lost in the Maguire deal we gained in Clucas. Then with another 10 million with Maguire 26 million is about right.
Spine of the team is all wrong. Right now we are a reliable keeper, another CB and striker short of safety Imo.
