Some good play by both sides and some sharp finishing. For different reasons our 1st and 4th goals were impressive.
A game full of incident! Another hilarious red card, glaring open goal miss and a wonderful winner. ps Defending from high crosses a problem at this and senior level
Good to see the style being played by the young guns looks very similar to the 1st team though. The similarity regarding crosses should be avoided.
Just saw this on the Watford site.......................... https://www.watfordfc.com/match-report/under-21-watford-0-1-cardiff-city EDIT - it is on the City site too, just didn't notice......... https://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/news/u21-match-report-watford-0-1-cardiff-city
First report I've seen.................... https://www.cu-fc.com/news/2022/october/u21s-report--cardiff-city/
I expected a bigger win with the players City started with. 8 with first team experience. However 4.1 is a good win in anyone's books.
Saw the highlights - some nice flowing football. Max failed to net but good to see Bagan playing - hope he gets a start soon instead of NK.
Saturday would be good. Or start with Nkounkou, let him get clobbered then bring Bagan on after they get a yellow or three.
Can't find a team sheet but here's a summary.......... https://www.soccerpunter.com/match/18618464/Millwall-U21-vs-Cardiff-City-U21
We don’t have a City ladies thread so I’ll post on here. Good win today 4-0 against Bridgewater in the F A Cup.
Yes great win. However, I don't think that Cardiff Ladies is anything to do with Cardiff City. The club's women's team plays in the Welsh league. I could have it totally wrong but that's my understanding.
I always thought they were, until I read this; The club was founded in 1975 as Llanedeyrn L.F.C. after a local charity match. In 1981 the name was changed to Cardiff L.F.C., and in 1993 the club linked up with Inter Cardiff F.C. and started playing at the Cardiff Athletic Stadium. In 1997, the connection with Inter Cardiff was terminated and the club changed its name to Cardiff County L.F.C while affiliating with the Cardiff County Council. In 2001 the club began affiliating with Cardiff City, the professional men’s club from the same city. At the beginning of the 2003 season, however, the club severed its connection with its male counterpart when its members voted against the men’s club's proposals its operations became an independent outfit again. Although they were allowed to keep use of the Cardiff City name and kit colours, their crest is very different, and no longer uses the famous moniker 'Bluebirds' (although they are still referred to as such by media such as BBC Sport), incorporating the Welsh red dragon instead. In 2006 Cardiff City Ladies won the FA Women's Premier League Southern Division and were promoted to the National Division for the first time. Relegated in the 2007–08 season, the club again were promoted to the National Division in 2010–11. Because Cardiff City Ladies has won the Welsh Women's Cup, the club has represented Wales played in the UEFA Women's Cup
Is that the same team as identified on the city website, or are they different? https://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/players/718
