Difficult to see on the screen, but apart from the last 10 mins they didn't really appear to give it a go. Possibly because of the way we were playing the ball around. Lovely to see such confidence on the ball and attacking play.
So do we think Clint us just keeping fit or is it something more? Personally I think it would be lovely if we offered him a deal to the end of the season, would love him to finish out his career playing for us.
As long as they don't play him at wing back...... Onuoha, Baptiste, Lynch, Caulker, Hall, Hill, Perch if desperate, the bloke Chris Paul from the U23s. Must be a decent pairing in there somewhere.
As a released free agent, can we actually include Clint in the First Team squad? For his grit and determination, him over Caulker any day.at CB, just don't play him at LB/LWB.
I think you misunderstood... I was trying to suggest he is clearly a spent force - not for a moment that we should sign him. My bad... I should have been clearer.
I think it's poor form for the club to put out that one liner about Hill and nothing further. Knowing that he is held in high regard by the fans you'd think they'd give us the context behund his return i.e. just working on fitness or a potential deal being struck.
Typical - you watch, Baptiste will break a leg on Saturday, Bidwell do his hamstring, Caulker be found drunk in a ditch somewhere and Clint will have found a new club and we'll be ****ed!!
No QPR return for Hill after talks over personal terms break down please log in to view this image David McIntyre 20 mins ago please log in to view this image QPR will not be re-signing Clint Hill. The veteran defender, who turns 39 next month, has been training with the R’s and played for their development side this week. But the two parties have been unable to agree terms, ending the prospect of Hill returning for a second spell at Loftus Road. He is a free agent, having left Glasgow Rangers after the end of last season, and is one of a number of potential signings QPR have been considering amid concern over their defensive injury problems. Those problems worsened after skipper Nedum Onuoha was ruled out of Saturday’s game against Middlesbrough. Onuoha has picked up a hamstring injury and his absence is a blow for Rangers, as Joel Lynch, Grant Hall, James Perch and Steven Caulker are also unavailable. Lynch has returned to training following his own hamstring problem but is not yet ready to be considered for selection. Former R’s captain Hill made 169 league appearances for the club during a six-year spell which included two promotions to the top flight and he remains a hugely popular figure among fans.
We had 7 in the squad plus 2 others who can play there (Hall, Ned, Caulker, Baptiste, Lynch, Paul, Hämäläinen plus Robinson, Perch) That is enough for anyone...EXCEPT QPR
