Nooo he's going down in value! Beefy said £25m yesterday. Sell him now. At this rate we'll have to pay them to take him away at the end of the season!
Be gone Judas, in all the years on 606 and this forum l have never uttered an expletive, but so tempted to tonight, Never one of the 'Saints Dream'; a great acquisition, just go you lowlife. Sorry to be so emotional on this subject...
I don't feel anything, frankly. He never kissed the badge or said that he wanted to finish his career with us. Players have a contract. If he got an injury, we wouldn't feel obliged to offer him another. If he chooses not to sign a new deal then that's his choice. We will make a tidy profit and its on with the next. The only time I get annoyed is when. for example, a manager plays us along. Clyne, in refusing to sign a new deal, is making his intentions clear. In that respect, saying he wants champions league is just confirmation.
Not too bothered to be honest. RB to me is not a position that is too crucial and I'm sure we have a capable replacement lined up.
We let 2 good FB's go last year and coped. The only thing is the price- 15m seems too low if Shaw is 25.
Especially when the "spend at least half the season either injured or on the bench" clause in the transfer deal kicks in.
If he'd said anything different he would be a complete liar, it's the dream of anyone who has ever enjoyed playing football
Luke was 11 months into a five-year deal, Nathaniel has 13/14 months to run and is refusing to sign an extension.
Well Nat don't let the door hit you on the ass on your way out.....cheers for the cash and you will be replaced.
It's the figure I have been told we want(or are trying to get) I didn't say we would get it. Hopefully we can get a few teams interested to get Utd to pay more. As for Clyne going I don't have anything bad to say about him. It's just a shame he doesn't want to stay.
Sounds to me like the England manager has been doing his usual head turning. You've got your oportunity but if you want to cement your place you need to be playing Champions league. I swear the FA are using the England squad to bolster the Champions League teams. Just paranoia but you cant ignore our recent history. Get called up for England, get moved up to a CL team. Even if you're ageing and showing signs of a major decline in your game.
Clyne is a tremendous talent and I'm not going to kid myself that we didn't miss him in the side Saturday because he is leaving in the summer. Toby doesn't quite have the Engine for the role that the team style requires and while I think we can find a better crosser of the ball, it will be a challenge to get a better defender in. Think he has been a great performer for Saints and our best signing since our return to the PL.
Luke said he'd been talking to the England masseurs (also the MUFC masseurs) before his move was sorted - various people involved.
