Yes that is to be expected, we had Bony up until January last season, all our eggs in the Gomis basket is sinking us, let's hope we get someone in this January window......<ok>

I will take 48 points right now, as with the way we are going we will be lucky to get to 40. The only consolation is that I believe there are 3 worse teams than us in the league, despite the manager.

We can be thankful that Villa and Sunderland are already down imo.

Sunderland under Allardyce could improve once he can do deals in the January window <yikes>

Your on schedule target of 48pts assumes wins at Old Trafford and the Emirates ......<yikes>

    Better make that 42pts.....

It gets harder every season and we are doing well as expected with the squad of mixed abilities we have.....we will probably finish between 12th and 15th and that will be a good season.....

so what you are saying then is despite the money spent he has taken the squad/team backwards.

In fairness , when Bony left , We did as well ,point wise , in the second half of the season ,than we did in the first half of the season with Bony.Gomis played his part in that Second have of the season ..
It's a bit of an unfair comparison because we had such a miraculous start to the season last year..
Let's see what's up when we arrive at Christmas time .

In some respects we are victims of our own success from last season. It was such a big jump from 47 pts(ish) up to 56 that expectations have gone through the roof.

My team for next game would be

    Fab
    Kyle
    Fed
Amat (Dai is right that Ash looks knackered)
    Tabanou
    Routs
    Ki
    Cork
    Montero
    Gylfi
    Eder

    Naughton,Fernandez,Williams, Tabanou,
    Ayew,Kii ,Britton,(Sig or Shelvey),Routledge
    Eder
I'd like to see this new left side for a game, maybe two if the first goes well
Britton for many reasons ,but added reasons are to soothe Williams , teach Tabanou and to link well with Ki.
Tabanou and Ader because it's the time and place to.
Britton should start this game to show them " The Way "

Just when I get Naughton figured out I blow it on the spelling of Eder.
My only excuse is lack of seeing him in the starting line up

I'd settle for Baldrick up front at the moment.
