Pretty much all of this "better safe than sorry" procedure will disappear as soon as a vaccine is developed, tested and distributed. Until then, you can't play the probabilities game, because enough people already won't adhere to safe procedures, even with safe procedure measures and advice in place. People tend to take good health and being free of disease a little too much for granted. It isn't like that because of people. It's like that because modern medical and sanitary standards tend to keep viral outbreaks to an absolute minimum. And it'll only be for a few months anyway.
