He is a massive dick on twitter - he doesn't believe in climate change haha. But as you say, he is Matt Le Tiss so who are we to judge! And yeah, he is obviously minted. He will have been taking in a 6 figure salary for over 20 years - work that one out
Oh yeah, absolutely. I remember watching Mick Channon being interviewed after one of his horses, owned by a syndicate of ex players including Alan Ball, won a big race at Newmarket. The interviewer asked Mick if any of the owners were there to see the horse win, and he replied “No, you’re kidding - it’s a Wednesday, these guys all have to work for a living”. They still have the memories though. And in some cases the medals, though Matt doesn’t even have that.
Perhaps. But I used to see him driving his brand new Aston Martin with personalised plate (MLT 7) in Holloway Rd in North London quite often. That car was worth more than my flat at the time.
Matt isn't poor, he isn't super rich though. He is very, very comfortable I would imagine though - lawyer/doctor rich IMO.
Matt's such an arogant prick at times. I'm self employed like so many others around the UK. If theres no work , I dont get paid. He needs to think before he speaks sometimes.
4k a week is over 200k a year. MLT last played in 2005...15 years ago so that is about 350-400k a year in todays terms. Over about a 10 year period, so that is Doctor/Lawyer money. So yep not multi millionaire, but still comfortable. As others have said, the normal working person isn't as comfortable as him and the self employed are screwed. Same with business owners - they employ staff and are responsible for say 20 other peoples' lives. Worrying times.
Matt's such an arogant prick at times. -------------- I'm in the same boat as you. But I've got no beef with what he says. There will be a lot of rich people hoping this virus culls the peasants so they can carry on in comfort. His honesty is why he's getting grief. Anyone remember Prince Phillips famous quote about what he would like to come back as after death? Hmmmm
Le Tiss has some unpopular opinions on Twitter, so what? I don't see why Twitter users get so angry/hateful towards him about them. Disagree sure, but I have much differing views on politics and other things to my best mate, but we don't hate each other for it. He's my best man in a few weeks. It's the current society I guess, so much hate.
He's my best man in a few weeks. ---------------- Outstanding! Send my love. If your wedding gets cancelled, I may well cry!
It's a very difficult one. Boris has taken advice from our top medical officers, but that advice seems to differ from the top medical officers in other European countries? I work in the office for a home care company (we care for elderly and vulnerable people in their own homes, it's not a care home), and this may be an overestimation but I would say that probably 60% of our Care Assistants are working mums. If the schools are shut, who looks after their kids? If Care Assistants can't work, who looks after our elderly customers? We've got circa 400 customers across our four offices. The company I work for has 200 offices. That's (potentially) a lot customers without care. On the flip side, if one of our Care Assistants gets COVID19, even more customers could be without care. In the care industry, it's already difficult enough covering sickness and staff shortages on a daily basis, let alone if over half of our staff have to stay at home and look after their kids. And if they stay at home, they won't be paid (statutory is hardly going to cover their bills). How will they then support their families? It's an incredibly difficult situation and I don't know how it will play out. We just have to pray we don't turn into Italy 2.0.
Fingers crossed it doesn't. The hotel say the current likelihood is that if a time comes where large gatherings are banned, it will be for 500+ people at indoor events. I'm not that popular so our wedding would come in way under that. On the other hand, if the hotel has to close or postpone, then they'll just move the date to anytime in the next year, so we wouldn't be out of pocket. Still a nervy time though and potentially very disruptive.
Sorry, do you think my best man is MLT? Because he's not and I can't tell if you're being sarcastic my point was my best mate (not MLT) has different views to me and there's no animosity like you see online.
Back on topic, I thought my post above was an interesting take given the industry I work in. Anyone got any thoughts to closures/bans etc having an impact on the care sector?
Right, time for work, enough self isolation from me today. If any of you are bored, feel free to go on eBay and buy the most expensive anti virus hand lotion and not pay for it! Stay safe y'all.
Dr. Shlain’s Private Medical group does not advertise and has virtually no presence on the web, and new patients come strictly by word of mouth. Annual fees range from $40,000 to $80,000 per family for a Concierge+ service that allows the already medically privileged in the US to jump queues to primary medical services. Sounds like there might be some commercial advantage to spreading a little fear don't it?
