I wouldn't trust him or Boris to try and relay any sort of objective truth. Will be interesting to see what his reported 'smoking gun' actually is.
Cummings Barnard castle tale was a complete load of bollocks so we know hes full of ****. Johnson backed his main man knowing it was all a load of ****. They are both complete twats and liars. I reckon cummings is clever enough to have hard evidence in the likely event of such a situation.
You're taking a bizarre line on this. There's a demonstrable fact at the core of the issue and it will come down to which of two proven liars are actually telling the truth in this instance. My money's on Cummings.
It’s not like it’s just one person’s word against another. Johnson did a ****ing speech promoting it.
Appallingly weak reporting on vaccine effectiveness against the Indian variant on BBC tonight, bandying around figures for ‘effectiveness’ without mentioning what they were effective against - infection, symptoms, hospitalisation or death. Actually the figures were about chances of developing symptoms, the % look good and will be much better for hospitalisations and deaths. 15 months in and they still can’t communicate clearly about this ****.

33% of the population (or is that the adult population? I get confused) now fully vaccinated, and I will be joining that percentage this afternoon. Bravo. Sadly, only 5% of the world’s population fully covered, with some countries you would expect to be doing much better than that - like Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand - even below that. At this rate we will be living in fear of variants and with rolling travel restrictions, periodic surge testing etc for years it seems. Bit depressing for a Monday morning, sorry.
Two articles from last year discussing the government's herd immunity policy. British government wants UK to acquire coronavirus 'herd immunity', writes Robert Peston | ITV News Why is the government relying on nudge theory to fight coronavirus? | Tony Yates | The Guardian I supported this approach at the time, but I was wrong. Why can't the government admit that it was wrong too, rather than trying to pretend that it never happened?
As with the first jab, absolutely no reaction to the second, not even a sore spot around the injection site. I hope they haven’t given me a placebo…….. Re the Cummings v Johnson tallest dwarf battle, if half of what Cummings claims is true and he opposed the strategy at the time, it would seem that, far from a modern day Machiavelli, the puppet master behind the throne, and other hopelessly cliched descriptions, he had no influence beyond thinking up a couple of false slogans for the Leave campaign and hasn’t had anything to do with actual policy, however **** or brilliant it’s been. I am enjoying the childish bitch fest of internal Tory party politics, Carrie made Boris hurt Dom’s feelings Mater, and now he’s saying nasty things back! Of course, it will have absolutely no effect on anything of importance.
Under new government guidance - updated on gov.uk on Friday but about which no one was aware until last night (when a journalist happened to notice it) because there was no official announcement - Brentford fans should not travel from Hounslow to Wembley for the play-off final on Saturday.
Having had the fluey effects and shivers first time around I was expecting something similar with the second shot, but no reaction at all either. Same for my partner, she had nothing with the second jab either. Happy days!
I was pretty rough after my first jab, almost as bad as when I had Covid so hope the second one is symptom free
I had the same, had mine last Thurs lunch time and from 2am Fri felt awful for 24hrs. Likewise, felt very similar to when I had covid. The Mrs has had both jabs and was rough after the first jab too, but was OK for the second (she's had covid too). I am pinning my hopes on that.
