I come from a long line of Socialists. My Dad's (RIP) best friend was a Communist, a lovely man. Our house growing up was highly political which is probably what caused me to swerve all things politics because of what I experienced as a child. I really don't want to say anymore about it.
My apologies, JB. I do tend to get over excited when it come to de pfeffel. I really can't believe their are people out there that still support him (not suggesting you do) I've gone over the top. Sorry.
It's funny. My parents would never discuss anything political. I know they despised Thatcher and also thought Neil Kinnock was a dangerous lunatic... But beyond that they never mentioned politics. Even to this day, I have no idea who they used to vote for in England, although, I do know that they were adamant: "you vote for the individual MP, not the party" which is something I follow to this day. I don't care what party someone is in. It's what they themselves stand for that matters.
My Mum & Dad now tested clear so my Dad can get his eye operation, cancelled previously, next Saturday.
They don't seem to have had any lasting problems and it was fairly mild when they had it. My Dad had a cough for a few weeks and my Mum said she just felt a bit rough, especially in the mornings.
