Jeddez, Mendonca and Seriouslyred clearly don't regard Charlton losing to Gillingham in League One as a disgrace. That tells you everything you need to know about their forelock-tugging acceptance of the decline which continues unabated at our old Club. The very fact that we are in League One is nothing short of a disgrace, the way it came about. The fact that we have just lost a league game against a pitiful side who are crashing out of the third tier is a total embarrassment to most Charlton fans. No wonder the partly closed Valley is still two thirds empty at every home game. But the apologists don't regard any of this as a problem. The fact that our absentee owner pays the bills on time is enough to satisfy them. Though I assume if our bright start to the season collapses completely there will be another road to Damascus conversion at ITTV, followed by fresh cries for thuggery and intimidation against the Regime and the CEO they have been so chummy with recently.
SR is one of the most pitiful excuses of a football supporter I have ever encountered. "Let's see where we are next week/month/year/decade" "According to Sqwarka we are actually top of the league" "Attendances are up 153 on this time last season"
When you think he sat on the Trust for a while you begin to understand why the Trust is such a laughing stock.
Isn't Dodoo a winger/striker. From the limited time I've seen him he looks worse than KAG, but I expect him to replace Holmes because our job is to get him up to scratch so that Rangers can sell him in January. Somehow I can't see the opposition doubling up on Joe like they do with Ricky.
Not much more to add from the above The Magennis chance just before they scored was the game changer, how often do u get a chance to take a touch and take a free shot inside six yard box.. And miss it. He's not clinical enough but again it's something we've all said since he's been with us. And whose putting pressure on his place? Dodoo who looks absolute crap
Here goes then. At 10am I met a mate for breakfast in the Bromley South Wspoons, after which we then boarded the 10.53 to Gillingham. On arriving in pikey land we arrived at the Dog and Bone around 11.40 and met a few of our chums as arranged. We were very excited as we were meeting SwissAddick(from Charlton Life) as I had his tickets for the game. I made sure I paced myself so I had about 5 bottles Budweisers in here before getting another beer at the offy in the High Street. We left the game with 10 minutes to go as my mate wanted to get down to Rochester for a drink, we had two in the Wspoons there when he then went home. I had another pint in the boozer down the road then got home about 9. The caravan dwellers beat Duchatelet Athletic 1-0.
@brb I think that toe rag Scully should do something about the away end. It was obvious that you don't normally get a lot in your away end - the seats were covered in cobwebs and sh1t. Wouldn't have been too much effort for the Gills to give them a wipe. They must have made £50,000 plus off Charlton fans yesterday
You're lucky it didn't collapse It's an embarrassment for sure, for low away followings we put them in the GRS after home supporters kicked up a fuss, but we can't stick 3k in the GRS, I'm sure you can imagine the security risk situating them closer to the RE, especially as evidenced by the article i linked in earlier.
