Midweek match mayhem for the 30th instalment of a packed Championship season. Other than Sam McCallum who is currently loaned to Coventry from Norwich and is therefore unavailable neither side have got a player in their first team squads that has played for the other side. Form: Coventry: LDLDW Norwich: WLDDW Norwich come off the back of a 4-1 home win to Stoke and Coventry off a 3-1 away defeat to the Bluebirds. Norwich looking to maintain and consolidate their position at the top of the table and Coventry looking to move away from the relegation zone. I found some highlights from a cup game a few years ago, we scored some good goals, but a very different style of play:
Coventry might have a LWB conundrum on their hands? McCallum has been pretty much ever present in that role, but is obviously ineligible. Shipley subbed on for him last game, and is perhaps the logical replacement, but seems to have been an attacking sub mostly this season. Otherwise they've only got a 19 year old with no Championship experience in the side. Buendia will be happy!
A bit concerned about the glowing errors that McClean has made recently; one resulted in a goal and the other very nearly thanks to Aarons. Anybody heard any further news on Skipp?
Shows the importance of luck in football, doesn't it? Giannoulis makes that bad error and it leads to a goal. If we had failed to win that game, he would have been the whipping boy for many fans on forums like this. McLean makes a mistake that is at least as bad; they don't score, so he gets off scot free. Pretty sure McLean will be in the line-up for Coventry; Farke really rates him. Really hope Skipp is OK. For him more than for the team. Despite what Shankly said, some things are more important than football.
Massive result for Barnsley with Carlton Morris contributing. We’ve not been top of the league the entire time, but have finished every match top of the league since maybe October? Shows how timely the win yesterday was too
Yes, a huge weekend for us to turn around the momentum from the Swansea loss and dropping down to second. Suddenly Brentford's 'unstopable run' has been stopped in its tracks and we are back to winning with an emphatic 4-1 victory. Swansea now have two games in hand but they're 5 points behind us. We've got a run of winnable games ahead of us before Brentford come to CR, so there's suddenly much to be positive about.
It makes me realise how fortunate we are to have a core of Norwich posters on this forum. I invited Coventry fans to post, but their forum seems as dead as a dodo
Stiepermann going to build up fitness with the U23s, Dowell is fit but needs to force his way into contention on the training pitch. Placheta was given time off but is back in contention. I suspect we won't change the starting XI from the weekend.
Hard to tell what that was for. He's not set things on fire since joining but he wasn't even a sub last weekend. Perhaps a first warning on attitude or late to training perhaps.
It sounded more like taking care of the player than anything else. That he's been working hard and perhaps come in for some criticism. Trying to help him clear his head, and refocus at Colney on improving as a player, rather than the frenetic schedule of a first team player.

This link has been very stable for me in the past few weeks. Looks like Placheta is out of favour as he is not even on the bench or is he injured? This looks like our strongest side.
