Sky reporting he’s close to joining United for £15m - that’s Manchester not Leeds! BBC stating that “Manchester United are interested in Swansea winger Daniel James. United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to bolster his squad this summer and is keen on James, the highly-rated Wales winger who came close to joining Leeds United in January, only for the deal to collapse when the player was sat at Elland Road waiting to complete the transfer. However, no deal has been done and it is understood there are other clubs who are also interested in the 21-year-old.”
If Man U are willing to pay £15m for Dan James, that’s a paltry £5m for our Player of the Season. Piiiiiiiiiiiissss Arfffffffffffffff
If Dan is going to United, perhaps we can negotiate a season long loan back to us? Alternatively, (or as well) get United to lend us a player or 2 from their emerging talent pool.
Great move for him and Wales. Has the potential to be an absolute superstar. Should force them to pay another £10m at least though. See Dai, Yanks just want their cash.
If United it is, then I'd rather him go there than almost anywhere else. Worst would be Leeds. I can't believe only £10 or £15 million is being talked about. There would have to be major add-ons at that price for me. If Declan Rice is being mentioned at £50 Million (way, way over the top btw) then Dan is worth more than him. I never saw a more exciting player in any division last season.
Sorry but £15m For a player in his first season is a fantastic deal and he was not even player of the season. I doubt he will ever play in the first team anyway as the Premiership is a different cuttle of fish that he wont be able to cope with, He will be just another player on the books at Man utd that has some ability that they will try to make him better but he will have so much competition at united that he is going to have to be better than that his chances of success are very slim.....He needs another season at the club to prove he is not a one season wonder where there has been plenty over the years at clubs....£15m we should sell at that price...
I do agree. yes he appears to have made the step up into the C/Ship but the PL is another level with full backs as equally as quick and in some cases more experienced defenders he still has a lot to prove. Regardless where he ends up if he can maintain the standards and progress he's made so far he'll be a success
Well personally I thought Dan proved how capable he is with his performance against Man City. And as I said earlier, at £15million there would need to be major add-ons for me. eg. several million more after he's played 30 games etc.
Yes indeed, he acquitted himself well against Citeh, and I thought that performance was a good benchmark, he'll do well at Manure my opinion........
