Off Topic Darts thread

Any darts fans on here? Nee more footy on tonight so I think I'll watch the darts. Haven't watched it since Taylor dominated, and before that it was Bobby George et al.

Hoping Anderson wins cause I can’t stand price.
Missing it as I’m on the ferry back to Holland with the bairn.

 

Gonna try and watch it. No doubt I'll be sat in the corner with my phone. I'm 5th in line for the tv in a house of 5. Come on Anderson.

 

I honestly have no idea who these lads are but I know it's a ****ing difficult sport and they don't get the credit they deserve. Hopefully it's a great match/game/bout/contest!

 

Haha I started playing last year properly like an hour a day on the board, it’s a ****ing great game, is very hard like but great fun.

Wish I knew more people that played it tho not that many people are really into these days.

 

I used to play with the lads donkeys years ago just for fun like. We few had boards in their garages and it was easy for parents to let us play in the garage when it was raining. A few got pretty good which was annoying (and expensive!) for the rest of us. A few cans and a game of darts in the garage aged 15, oh they were the days!

 

Haha love it, I’m prity decent tbh mate hit a good few 180’s like but like I say hard to get a game with anyone even more so with covid, people don’t like getting beat all the time so I’m running out of people fast haha.

 

****ing hell if you're knocking in 180s after a year you better turn pro sharpish.

We used to play a fair bit of darts, snooker and then moved onto golf when we got jobs and a bit of cash for the equipment. Not sure why, just something about those type of 'accurate' sports. Way back then, I think it tied in with it all being on normal Tele rather than sky so we could all watch it live.

Touring cars (Jason Plato?), ralley racing (Colin McRae) and superbikes with Foggy were class as well.

 

Anderson should have had the set there.

 

I’d just like to see where I can get to tbh, like a lot of sports tho you need loads of practice and I don’t have that much time.

Never really been into bikes or cars but used to love the scramblers going through the woods jumping up **** and bouncing all over sure it used to be around Xmas time.

 

Junior kickstart was class! I'm not into bikes or cars or owt, just used to like watching them. I'll top the screenwash up and that's about it!

He's toned his celebrations down recently as well. Now I've seen him play more often I don't dislike him as much as i used to. Would hate to play against him though. Would wind me up so much.

 

He is a good player from what I've seen tonight but strikes me as someone who drives one of those mini range rovers, in white and can't reach the pedals. Don't forget his cushion as well.

 

I wouldn't call him on it like. Doesn't look like the classic darts player.

He's demolished Anderson tonight. Hit every double and been very ruthless. Fair play.
