Before I begin, this isn't a Left vs Right thread but a thread of honest opinion on the state of the NHS. My honest opinion on our National Health system is that it's doing the inevitable and failing. A health project without an insurance policy can be disastrous to our economy (which is basically a business belonging to the country.) The NHS harnesses the potential of private health companies such as AXA & Bupa. Government interference in our market (including Health), is completely abhorrent. Discuss...
Every time I've visited hospital recently the service has been excellent. It just gets run down repeatedly by Tories, UKippers and the right-wing press who want to see it privatised so they can make millions out of it.
No Left vs Right battle please... just opinions on Healthcare. I respect your views Rupert. Although I am unsure whether the majority of those who seek privatization, seek it only for personal financial gain.
I think it's a huge pink elephant and a massive waste of money and certainly, the beast that it has become, was not what was intended when it was set up. They pay over the odds for medicine They pay GPs a ridiculous amount of money They pay too much for hospital renovations Streamline it for emergencies and life threatening ailments, not so mad Bab's fae Barlanark can get fake titties so she can bring all the boys to the yard FFs
Outlaw all private health care and raise taxes to improve the NHS. Top quality health care should be offered to all citizens regardless of personal wealth.
Every experience I've had with the NHS has been excellent. Mibby they just like me. But then, everyone does. I'm a likeable bloke.
