Williams - for trying to look like a winger. Smith - for occasionally looking like a creative midfielder. Huddlestone - for moving the ball forward (acknowledging that who he was moving the ball forward to rendered it a fruitless pursuit).
Williams M Smith Elder Badly missing Wilks and Honeyman. Not sure Alfie Jones is the answer at right centre back.
Williams, decent runs, was looking for a 1-2 at times, but the other players were looking back or sideways. Coyle, going forward. Didn’t really see him defending. Elder, same as Coyle.
Loads of awful passes , lack of energy and this meant no momentum going forward most of the time . Anyway . Williams - thought he showed promise and caused problems down the right . Why did you take him off Grant. Smallwood - worked hard and tried to get others going . The Hudd - nice to see you back , made himself available and played some decent passes forward . You must do better boys . Come on City .
Err. Williams ..at least he had a go and beat his man Hudds ....showed the others how to pass to a teammate, shame they couldn't control a ball Elder....kept going and put a crunching tackle in. The rest were just very poor apart from Smith. Haven't a clue how anybody could have picked Smallwood or Klp
Thanks Ernie, saved me typing .... Williams - for trying to look like a winger. Smith - for occasionally looking like a creative midfielder. Huddlestone - for moving the ball forward (acknowledging that who he was moving the ball forward to rendered it a fruitless pursuit). Smallwood some say? Kin hell!
1. Lewie Coyle - Looked good going forward. In the first half in particular 2. Randall Williams - Looked promising. Some decent touches. Our best attacker 3. Matt Ingram - I know he has made 2 errors now that's led to goals in the last 2 games but he made some good saves as well tonight
