i have not been to a game for some time. due to a number of factors that started with being made redundent twice.then i took offence to the prices being charged for second class players. then i realised that you dont have to be sixty five to get a cheaper ticket.(i'm sixty two). weekday games are out for me and as i work lots of sundays starting very early it's a bit awkward as i like a pint and to go by train. but i can make this game even if i have to drive .just want to see what all the fuss is about the new players. i even managed to get in north stand n3 hh. super excited and can't bl**** wait.
Good for you. Hopefully everyone else is happy that its 10,001 lapsed supporters returning to the fold now.
Why not. Even Bates said breakeven was about 22k. The extra 10001 are now more valuable to the club as their extra cash is all profit and go towards team improvement now that all the leaking holes have been plugged by Cellino and the Radz. Who knows, the returning fans may be the ones that eventually fund the Elland road buy back
Hard to see us getting over 25K for Derby as South East corner and East Stand Upper still not on sale. Maybe if we win on Monday and keep the momentum and feel good factor then that will attract a few thousand more. Good to hear Wakeycentraloneleeds is coming back and I fully understand there are many good reasons why fans have been staying away but now really is the time to get behind the team. Leeds is such busy and vibrant city these days that we really should be getting 30K plus every game but so many have been left disillusioned by the last 10 years or so that I suppose it will take a bit longer before we achieve that.
You have put my mind at rest. I thought it might be too subtle and certain target fish might not notice.
Derby will bring 3k plus, as against Rotherhams 250. Just about every seat is sold in all open areas so thats got to be already over 28k. Upper and or cheese wedge will be opened up before monday lunchtime imo. Will be 32k plus imo
Will be great to fill the ground with our own local supporters every game. Need to plan ahead if brexit means stricter border / migration controls.. Cant see many foreigners paying for or been entitled to visas
I'll have to resort to Athlone town games again shortly. Ground full, Ryanair flights full or too expensive
Seriously though, it'll be a sad day when the Irish supporters struggle again for tickets. I remember only too well the expense of attending PL games 20 Years ago
Cant make an omlette without breaking a few eggs. If the worst was to happen at least you will know someone with access to a spare season ticket.
That's a heck of a stutter Wakey! In all seriousness, I hope you have an awesome time and enjoy it as much as my lad did - so much so I am waiting for Forest tickets to go on sale if you can make it to that one I will happily buy you one of those pints you enjoy
