nor to the "park the bus" style that Mourinho favours.

heard him complaining about the RS and United spending "too much money" and "trying to buy the title".

You just have to laugh at the cheek of the man..<laugh>

Tbf you cant blame Jose for Torres's failure at Chelsea seeing as he wasnt there at the time lol. But Roman will always come out with the occasional "crazy Ivan" which his nanagers will have to live with.

Not great business but if he doesnt want to be at a propre club in a proper league then better to cash in now.

PSG are offering him 235k a week. That's like double what he was on at United now we know why he's leaving and he was back up to Young lol.

27m Euros is more than £14m. It is more like £20m. But United was never going to recover that £60m anyway.

Always a depreciating asset unless you buy young with potential. Buying ADM was always going to be like buying a brand new mercedes S class. Once you take it home, you've lost 1/3 of the price already. But the prestige and the image would have been worth it at the time.

Aye, but given how much the euro has collapsed against the pound since we sold him the actual loss will be more like £15m.

Di Maria always struck me as being our version of Shevchenko, Torres, Carroll, SWP, Garcia to City, Ibrahimovic to Barca. Not the player we really needed, and not the manager's first choice, but a good player who was available and who we had the money for so we went for it in the hope he would work out.

In the end he hasn't really worked out and doesn't seem happy or committed to the team, so if we can sell him and bring in a couple more players who we really need (striker and CB imo) then that makes sense - what we paid for him is ultimately irrelevant to the decision we should make now.

We've had bad luck with our worldies from the land of Eva peron. Veron and now Di Maria. With our record, Messi will probably flop too.

    Exactly.

All United losing money on him does is give sad sacks like Londons Only something to gloat about. And who else really gives a ****?

    ????

Ehh? I think with the Euro collapsing, and we are selling in Euros shouldn't our losses be more? It could be £25m by the time the deal is confirmed.

But you are right. Ultimately it is who we bring in in exchange. No point bragging like the RS when they sold Suarez for £75m and they replaced him with Lovren, Lallana and Balotelli.

It gives me great pleasure that we are spending sack loads. It is high time the ****ing GGs stopped making billions from the club. We are going to lose £20m - £25 from ADM. Am I going to lose sleep over that? I'll be more worried to lose a great talent but he's not been performing so no.

I would have thought differently if we were a PLC or we were financially constrained like some middle ranking club.

United has made enough savings and profit from the last few years of SAF so it is time they spent big.

To be fair Torres set the benchmark for losing money on big signings. The Chavs had to pay AC Milan to help them offload the useless twat to Atletico.

No one can ever rival Torres as a flop both on the pitch and financially. It was like pouring £50m down the drain. But worse, on the pitch the whole team went on the slide as they struggled to adjust to him.
