Second highest summer spend in history for fourth place.

    And you forgot Falcao,
Didn't you pay £5m to loan him for a season?

Most of us would call it rebuilding a squad at current market rates but seeing as these funds have been allocated to achieving fourth and that alone I take it any achievements from here on in don't have those funds against them.

London's Limpest Wrist uses a different transfer calculator.

Use punctuation. Then I may finish reading your (presumably bitter) post

There is no need for any punctuation in that single sentence.

    Thanks though.

The day an illiterate ****wit such as yourself tries to correct anything I write is the day I give in and die.

Just be grateful you're not a doctor or physio mate. He'll be telling you how to do your job.

And Bruma was superb for PSV last night.

Players leave clubs and still manage to kick the ball in the right direction!

Chelsea could use a centre half.

Surprising really. He struggled against a comparable Yeovil side last season.

I suppose his homes not yet been broken into though.

Di Maria is a bottler in my opinion. He had an opportunity to really put in the work the season but chose to run to, err, the mighty French League. He needs to be in a team plays without pressure and are already at the top and with little competition as he had in Spain and now in France. But he would not hold himself accountable if pressure sets in.

I was burgled once. I don't run away to France though.

I rated and still do rate di Maria as a footballer but as a man, he no opinion other than he's a weak minded coward.

Its a real shame too but we've moved on and already shown improvements. By all accounts he's been a bit meh for PSG too

Definitely great footballer without a doubt. But it really does annoy me when I hear stories about "wives of footballers" not being happy in some fkin city. IT's like GTFO!! You're getting paid millions, shut up and fall in line with your husband.

Did anyone read the story about Petit? His choice to use lifestyle to pick where to play which took him to Barca and then to Chelsea. He has publicly stated his regrets in using city preference to pick his place of work.

Mate, its pathetic. I made my views clear in the ddg saga and the role his girl friend was playing (some didn't quite get the joke I don't think).

So I read the title of this thread and while gaffawing at the idea 0f Di Maria being a big loss, it did make me think... who was the last player we sold who was a big loss? Ronaldo 6 years ago? Can't think of many tbh.

    Good question.

Early days but the nearest I can think of is van Persie.

I miss having RVP in the squad. The guy gave us some outstanding memories even in his relative short career at United.
