It would only be a loss if he's currently playing. Not sure he is, or if he's injured.

EDIT: Actually I take that back, he would have been useful if he hadn't been sold.

I've made an argument before that Messi and Ronaldo would not score 60 goals in the EPL. I don't think. This is one of the most rugged leagues in the world. You are world class if you get 30 goals.

Define rugged... Are we talking stubble or full-on beard? Facial hair or chest?

    Fck, that's rugged!!

I agree, hair in the prem is better. This is why Costa did better in La Liga. Pubes on top works over there but is simply not good enough in the prem.

Look at Falcao too. How many goals did Cesc score in spain? Too many! Ozil too. The league here is without a doubt not an easy one. That is not to say that it is the best technically though.

The league in Spain is easy if you play for a handful of clubs. if you play for the other 17 then its almost pointless.

Only 9 clubs have ever won La Liga. To put that in perspectives, 11 have won the SPL and 23 the English division 1/PL.

Yeh, but I'd put a slightly different spin on it. I think the mentality in Spain is different. They won't play to park the bus, the crowd won't cheer when a defender clears the ball into row Z, and relegation is just considered part and parcel of the game if you're not good enough. For that reason, the pheelosophee is far more towards attacking football. That's not to say defence doesn't matter btw.
