That is a great point. The Wendies, Derby and Reading all have point reductions coming, but when? Surely they can't wait until next season?
It's frustrating, as we don't even know where we stand in the wrong end of the table. I'm not even saying I want those points deductions. Pretty embarrassing way of staying up in my view, I'd rather it was decided on the pitch and take it on the chin if we aren't good enough. But not knowing is another headache on top of all the others. Anyway, sorry - off-topic. Good luck in your next game - but not on the 22nd
Agreed. You're fighting for your lives on the pitch, there has to be a cut off point that deductions can't happen.
If Charlton are relegated, I feel they would at least make the play-offs. If Hull go, that might be different.
I see no reason why Leeds should struggle. The Big gap is between the elite and the rest. Are You telling me that Leeds are a long wsy behind Newcastle, Southampton and Palace?
The key differences between Fulham and Sheffield United in the Premier League is a) Fulham had a poor defence even in the Championship, b) Fulham lost several players from the promotion team (Targett, Fredericks, Kalas) and c) Fulham didn't show loyalty to the players that got them promoted (Cairney, Johansen and McDonald was the best midfield in the Championship, then they never play together in the the Premier League. Any, the takeaway is that Leeds will have to keep their core together and hope that some of those players step up. Good luck replacing Bamford without being robbed blind!
I don't think they'll care to be honest with you and unless Rads decides to sell us we are probably in danger of going straight back down The PL is vastly different to the last time we were in it, the divide between the top 6 and the rest is vast
Not done, of all the clubs Leeds have an innate ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. The champagne is still on ice and I've heard somebody clearing their throat but nothing has been won yet.
I'm looking forward to it. See Bielsa close up, a big club in the league. There are older posters on our board that still haven't forgiven you lot for some of the tackles by Bremner and Hunter, but I say time to let it go.
Saints fan and I'm happy if ye do. I'm not gonna lie but I did take a bit of sadistic joy in all the near misses but Leeds will be a great asset to the Premier League. Only been in Ellnd Road once and loved it as a ground...When they let fans back in I'll try make it over from Ireland for Saints match there
I dont think it’s so much that other clubs want to see Leeds in the Premiership (though it’s nice to have big teams in with the big boys) At least for me, I feel for their fans for going 16 years out of the top flight. I mean literally you exited before the era of big money came around (Chelsea city etc). That’s how long it’s been; things have certainly changed since.
I think that a return to the Prem is well overdue. Bielsea has done an amazing and I think that promotion is deserved. Leeds' fall from grace in the early 2000's was an example of how not to run a club and I am quite surprised that the recovery has taken so long. That said, I am afraid that I think that Leeds will go straight back down and experience a similar season to Villa in 19/20,.
Many sadly missing the point that the pl is like about three divisions. Any team from Everton down in bottom half would struggle in the championship. We’ll be fine and unlike many promoted before us, we will be a big addition to it
As a group of fans I think you deserve it. As a Fulham fan I often dip into your board as I like the banter and the passion for football. The Premiership is where all teams aspire to be, but it's often a disappointment.
No he’s not worth that. Think a season or two ago Spurs where interested at less than half that, which may have been worth a punt.
