Strange comment. Can you please explain why you cannot be financially successful and also value so called 'important things'? It sounds like the politics of envy.
On my recent travels it was noticed that there were quite a few continental lorries who had returned from England, and were resting up with their rear doors open to show they were empty. Seems that it is a trend. http://www.zeit.de/2017/41/brexit-achim-junker-eu-spediteur
The joke a few years ago on Mock the Week "If all the countries that have the euro as their currency are in the Eurozone, are we Poundland?" may be horrendously prophetic according to the following articles: http://www.msn.com/en-gb/money/news...t-talks/ar-AAtkHQH?li=AAmiR2Z&ocid=spartanntp http://www.msn.com/en-gb/money/news...-reward/ar-AAtj29b?li=AAmiR2Z&ocid=spartanntp
https://economics.rabobank.com/publications/2017/october/the-permanent-damage-of-brexit/ Phew - the good news is that Brexit will only cost us £11,500 each. And here was me thinking that the Tories were arseholes for leading us into a financial catastrophe... So - no more welfare, no more pensions, no more PAYE personal allowances? Obviously just for the plebs though...
No, the arseholes are those repeatedly coming up with project fear stories that have consistently failed to materialise.
Anyone who thinks that creating a trade barrier with our 28 nearest markets is somehow not going to significantly damage our economy is living on cloud cuckoo.
Well I guess we will have to see but seeing as nothing appears to be happening in term of progress or signs of agreement the likelihood must be that we just walk away come March 2019. The main issue over Brexit seemed to be Immigration - has there been much talk about that?
I think walking away in March would be the worst possible thing the UK govt could do for England - I'm fairly certain they'd quickly lose at least two Union members. As far as immigration goes, from what I've read May appears to be taking an entirely unreasonable stance - she seems to think that UK ex-pats living in EU countries should retain the right to freedom of movement, but is tellingly refusing to talk about the rights of EU citizens currently living here. She won't budge (yet) & neither will the EU.
She has got herself into this mess because she wishes to treat people in different ways. It is not about just travel, but about having your professional qualifications for example accepted throughout the EU. As soon as you start playing around with those rules you can be rightly accused of discrimination. She was useless at the Home Office and has come back for a second bite of the cherry, and is now up a creek without a paddle. I fully expect her to start talking about the caste system before too long.

As reported earlier in the year there was one empty flagpole on the roundabout in town. Clearly now everyone can see the UK hanging around for some more years, so today a nice new Union Flag has been put back in it's rightful place.
https://www.itv.com/news/2017-10-15/keir-starmer-labour-will-vote-against-brexit-no-deal/ Interesting - Keir Starmer saying that Labour would now vote to stay in the EU. Although, to be honest, Labour u-turns are not unknown.
