based on "what we know ..don't know" with about the middle of the close season now upon us [ transfer window ] just a couple championship clubs have been signing 'em on CITY NOT SHOWED MUCH YET! Based on last seasons potential … and this seasons likely showing from the 6 new clubs Put together my "starter for ten" table … shortly other mediums will be putting up odds and forcasts … last season we had 12 entries and all were very close to the actual finishing table … what seems apparent is that this season it will be much tighter than last … and maybe a few early [ pre November managerial adjustments might take place ] as teams expecting get off to a slow start Final table adjustments can be made up until start of 4th game of the season.
My prediction for 2019/20 1 ….. FULHAM 2 .... BRISTOL CITY 3 ….. MIDDLESBORO 4 …. W B A 5 …. LEEDS 6 ….DERBY 7 …. SWANSEA 8 …. CARDIFF 9 …. SHEFF WED 10 .. STOKE 11 .. last 2 seasons we have had 12 or more brave souls forcast the end result of the championship and all have mostly beaten the pundits … hopefully when I get out of hospital I will have some work to do collating a few entries before the KO of the third game .. with us sitting pretty on 6 points …
1. WBA 2. Leeds 3. Bristol City 4. Swansea 5. Middlesboro 6. Stoke 7. Fulham 8. Derby 9. Cardiff 10. Birmingham 11. Blackburn 12. Huddersfield 13. Sheffield Weds 14. Nottingham Forest 15. Hull 16. PNE 17. Barnsley 18. Brentford 19. Luton 20. Charlton 21. QPR 22. Millwall 23. Wigan 24. Reading
Very tough this season, not a lot to choose between a lot of sides. WBA and Derby will miss their loan/ sold players the most, especially WBA, almost 50 goals from their 2 strikers they have to replace this season, just to be on par.... a big ask! From 8th to 17th is a real lottery for me, below that looks pretty nailed on, just a case of in which order. 1. Fulham 2. Leeds 3. Middlesboro 4. Bristol City 5. WBA 6. Derby 7. Cardiff 8. Stoke 9. Notts Forest 10. Birmingham City 11. Blackburn Rovers 12. Swansea 13. Sheff Weds 14. PNE 15. Huddersfield Town 16. Hull City 17. Brentford 18. QPR 19. Barnsley 20. Reading 21. Charlton 22. Nothing to do with old club rivalries, but very interesting opinions on here about Swansea's final position in the table. What makes some think they'll finish top 6 let alone top half? They've had to sell some big earners to reduce outgoings, and on top of that have sold wonder kid Dan James to Man U for £15M and it looks as though Oli McBurnie is off as well for around £20M as the Yanks scramble to get in some cash. Although they did reasonably well last season under Potter after coming down from the Prem, that was probably more to do with Potter than the club, and now he's gone to replace Hughton at Brighton. Unless the new guy Cooper can work some magic on what they've got left and the youngsters coming through, they'll be lucky to stay up. This is a tough division as we've both found out. If they finish in the top half, I'll be amazed.
I agree, a lot of the pundits also always favour the recently relegated sides when doing predications, as it appears the easy option. To me the top 2 look obvious, then it's take your pick from about 8 teams for the playoffs. I don't see either of the 2 Welsh sides in the top 6, to be honest. We could just as easily be 8th as 4th, I think the margins will be fine again this season.
Will do - need to think about this whilst this window is still open. Today's news from CCFC indicates we should have got a couple over the line - Gavin Whyte from Oxford out wide for about £2M and Robert Glatzel from Heidenheim for about £5.5M as a central striker. Someone to set thngs up as a genuine No.10 would be the icing on the cake. If that happens, I reckon we're nailed on for a top 6 spot.

I think a couple may be changing their Barnsley predictions, watched their match v Fulham and they were quite impressive
they have been busy and bought in half a new team !!! i have them 15th … at the moment! But may up them & QPR drop PNE down.. not so many brave enough to speculate this season! [ yet? ] 12 or more last …...
