Having watched most of the day's play on the TV today I thought, wow we batted like test cricketers. I know the openers got out without scoring big, but in both cases there was a little extra bounce that caught them out and they both survived the tricky bit before lunch, Burns needs to stop crabbing around the crease, Chanderpaul was the master at that, but he was one of the best players ever. First session of day 2 England were beating the bat more and theatening the Australian top order more than they did ours, however they ended up scoring 100 runs with the lose of only one wicket.... funny old game Australia still the favourites, but good to keep fighting and putting extra miles in the bowlers legs for the rest of the tour and you never know, maybe we can get a miracle.
"At least so far" . Terrible again. Only one century opening stand since 2016? Zimbabwe have probably had more than that.
Stuffed by Aussie 8 dismissals to caught by wkt keeper. Need to play the line, and remember this is Test match cricket, not 20/20. Let's hope Broad and Anderson are fit for the 2nd Test
No certainly not.... lets pick 4 bowlers that are all the same... absolutely moronic! I saw Anderson staring daggers after a drop on his bowling and then next over gets taken off.
Catches dropped today which any 14yr old would have caught. Horrendous fielding. Need to step up or we are 2 down
England face a huge battle to get back into the Ashes series after Australia dominated again on day two of the second Test in Adelaide. After the hosts racked up 473-9 declared, England's openers failed once more as Joe Root's side closed on 17-2 in the day-night Test.
Hameed has a technique that I think could work, Burns needs to go away and sort himself out, he is all over the place!
Sorry it was all my fault. The first session was about the first one I hadn't watched anything and then I turned the TV on and first ball, bye bye Joe Root. Our batting is shocking, which puts pressure on the bowlers, which then puts further pressure on the batsmen.
Root and Malan take two each in 2nd innings. They also score the runs. ???????? I can not remember Malan bowling in a test before.
