With the Shard in the backdrop by Borough Market, dozens of supporters crowded around a London ambulance and egged people to climb aboard. And several people happily obliged, posing for photos as they did following England’s historic 2-0 win over Sweden. ADVERTISING ADVERTISEMENT Footage from the chaotic scenes shows the crowd singing ‘we want Jackie Chan’ before a man jumps on to the ambulance. He was then followed by a man dressed in a Gareth Southgate waistcoat before the police arrived to prevent any further damage. The fans badly dented the ambulance’s bonnet and smashed the windscreen, taking the important vehicle out of action. In a tweet following the incident, the LAS said it left a ‘big dampener on the celebrations’. The LAS wrote: ‘We’re delighted with the result, but this has put a big dampener on the celebrations for us. ‘While our officer attended a call nearby, this car was damaged in Borough High Street during the celebrations after the game. ‘It’s now off the road to be repaired.’ It was far from the only act of overzealous celebrations, as fans all over the country partied hard. Some supporters in east London even raided an Ikea and trashed the place just to rub salt in the Swedish wounds. If only they could be put on a blacklist so that when they need an ambulance the ambulance service can tell them to f”ck off. No respect for us , none for you . Or how about the NHS celebrates its 70th by being allowed to squash their motors

Surely they can find out who they were? Make them pay more ni to pay for the damage. What if the paramedic was attending a life threatening injury or stroke or heart attack? That's his vehicle out of action, ****ing stupid kernts
After beating Columbia, the area of town where there was a public screen was smashed up in Darlo. ****ing idiots.
Shame all of this. Things are going so well on and off the pitch when you look at what's happening with the teams performance in games in Russia and southgate's media handling. At home and abroad our fans are making us look really ****ing foolish. All the **** about the Russian fans being animals, that they shouldn't have got the world cup and it could be dangerous for our fans... Why do we keep bleating on about getting a world cup when our fans act like bloody animals. Some of the stuff I've seen is just good harmless fun but when **** starts getting damaged it's just absolutely ****y. Reminds me of Dave Gilmore's son swinging off the Cenotaph during the student protests. Some people just aren't born with a brain in their head and get carried away.
It takes a special kind of stupid to get so excited about your country winning a football match that you smash up your own country (or anyone else's country for that matter, but that's beside the point).
These were the happy celebrating people when we won. God help us if we lose semi or final and the angry brigade get started. This country has to start getting tough on punishment - and considering how to install discipline from a young age
Such a ****ing shame. Those lads in Russia making the country proud. Those lads (and lasses judging by those pics) making us look like a bunch of idiots.
I was going to say that this was probably a small minority and a shame that a well behaved majority don’t ‘self police ‘ . But looking more closely at the pictures it seems everyone was enjoying the act , laughing and videoing and admiring the ‘stars’. Those videoing and applauding should be looked upon with the same disgust as the perpetrators . Naming shaming and publicising harsh punishments- as young kids are growing up seeing this on media and believing that this sort of stuff is just normal
They can identify them. How about 5 year ban from all football grounds, 100 hours community service AND fines appropriate to the damage taken from wages or benefits. This has got to stop
