Not much change since our poor showing in the World Cup.

I imagine there will be plenty of keyboard harry bashing. But there's a few names there not getting regular football in struggling teams.

Will there ever be a squad people aren't up in arms about?

I must have missed out on a lot of football this season, I’ve never heard of Marc Guehi. Although to be fair, I do tend to fast forward palace games on MOTD.
Agree that we can all moan about the squad choice, but Southgate knows a lot more about football than all of us put together, so I’ll be happy to trust that he gets this right. He tends to get more right than he’s given credit for!

What's happening with Toney. I mean he was dropped from the WC squad because of the gambling issue, and I don't think that's gone away? Agree on Mount as well.

I don't think he was dropped from the WC squad because of the gambling thing. Just other players were preferred. I do think it's strange to bring him in now though, when he's surely got a ban coming. He's unlikely to get much game time over Kane and Rashford so I can't say how he'll have time to break into the team before inevitably being banned.

Fully understand this squad. These are the two key games when it comes to qualifying for the Euros, Southgate can't afford to experiment.

He is sh1te - runs on his tip toes like a girl and always passes sideways and never beats a man. Can't remember him ever having a dominant performance in an England shirt

I can never understand why Mason Mount is such a popular target for England moaners. He's a young midfielder playing regularly for a top club and he gets goals and assists including in a Champions League final win. There can't be too many English players with a more impressive record over the last few years. Really don't get it.

There's always got to be someone apparently. It seems at the moment its Pickford or Maguire or Mount, with Foden the darling despite never really having a great run of form in an England shirt.

    Mason Mount Premier League Record

    Appearances 128
    Goals 27
    Assists 22

Not bad for a midfielder who never beats his man.

Maguire’s been excellent for England, regardless of his club form, we’re better when he plays.

Some players, like Mount and Foden, have not yet managed to replicate their club performances at international level, but they’re clearly very good players.

I think we’ll win both games.

I think they just don’t understand football. It’s usually the ‘fans’ of clubs like Liverpool and Man U who moan about him.
