Was in Hills on Sunday and they were offering 5/1 Germany (max. bet £50) to shop punters for an hour and I was almost tempted. Then I remembered who has the youngest team in the tournament and it might be an idea to look at who they could end up playing in the knockout stages... win the Group and it could be Belgium or Italy in the quarters. Looking at the way the knockout rounds work, these two could have easy paths to the semi-finals if they win their Groups: Winner: SPAIN Finalist: FRANCE As several others have gone with my other picks, I have done a couple of Premier League names (if they get on the field!): Striker: Romelu Lukaku (Belgium) Midfielder: David Silva (Spain) I will start with everyone’s first game: France 2-0 Romania Albania 1-2 Switzerland Wales 1-1 Slovakia England 0-0 Russia Poland 1-0 Northern Ireland Germany 1-0 Ukraine Turkey 0-1 Croatia Spain 2-0 Czech Republic R. of Ireland 1-1 Sweden Belgium 2-2 Italy Austria 2-1 Hungary Portugal 2-0 Iceland How do you score matches abandoned for non-footballing reasons? With the schedule, there is a chance this tournament may not finish if somebody stops one game.
Giroud/payet And I tipped England to win!!!! It's coming home it's coming home and I told you so! Get on!!!!!

No bother Karlos you can post the remaining group games in one post once they are in on time.It doesn't have to be in any particular order, whatever suits you mlad.

Wales nearly one down after five minutes... was I too optimistic in putting this down as a score draw? Slovak goalkeeper should have done a lot better with Bale’s free-kick. Had no chance with the correct score is the Swiss match once Albania had a man dismissed.
I noticed before Bale's free kick that the ref didn't spray the foam on the grass in front of the wall - have they ditched the idea for Euro 2016??
Perhaps the ref thought that 30 yards out was too far to bother with it. He appears to have something in his back pocket, so I will assume they are using the shaving foam. I guess there is no goal-line technology (despite UEFA saying there would be) as they seem to have those pointless extra two officials on the goal lines.
Great win by Wales. I actually had to turn the match off because every time I watched the game Slovakia got on top. So I turned off for Wales. Would be terrific if Wales and England were the only qualifiers with 7 points each
Great tactical nous from Chris Coleman to change things around just when it looked like the game was getting away from them. Well done Wales
Sorry for being a smartarse (well, a little sorry) but I put it down as 0-0 in the competition (got the points for the result but not the score) because if you look at England’s first game results in competitions over the last 25 years, you will find that England virtually never win the first game. With the Russians missing half their key players injured and Putin having handed a German a passport so he could play for them, I figured the Russians would go for a bore draw and hope to make more points than Wales or Slovakia to get through. This may work in England’s favour. By my reckoning, the winner of our Group could be on course to meet Belgium or Portugal in the last eight, whilst the runner-up will be in the soft part of the draw that will only include France (if they win their Group). Third in our Group could get Spain or Germany in the Round of 16. England have never won anything in my lifetime and that will still be the case on July 11th.
I was impressed by England, the only thing they didn't do is win the game. My concern is the conservatism of Roy Hodgson and his lack of flexibility in terms of selections and tactics. I'm not arguing with his starting line up yesterday but, after going 1-0 up, he seemed content to "see the game out". Wilshire for Rooney was the right move, as was replacing Sterling, but NOT with Milner. He should have taken off Sterling and Kane for Barkley and Vardy which would have kept the Russian back line much busier and given England more outlets. England should have continued doing what they do best - pushing aggressively for a second goal. I hope he doesn't pick the same starting 11 against Wales. Wilshire must come in for Rooney, and I would play Vardy instead of Kane and possibly Rashford instead of Lallana (who was the most guilty of wasting chances against Russia). The centre-half question continues to nag .........................
